Manager – Portfolio & Project Management

Overview
This position will support cross functional project teams in end-to-end development to ensure project schedule, cost, capital, quality, and customer service objectives are met for regional and global initiatives within the cluster of responsibility. This position will also assist in leading different strategic initiatives based on business need.
Responsibilities:
- Project Portfolio Management and Prioritization – Lead the R&D project portfolio for assigned cluster, managing resources and prioritizing efforts as necessary. Deliver project commitments within budget and aligned timing expectations. Champion projects and provide support to project teams during breakdowns or escalations to maintain portfolio health
- Portfolio Maintenance – Decision-maker and primary R&D sponsor to support Portfolio Maintenance projects, including cost-savings, supply resiliency, supply continuity, mold refurbishments, and sustainability projects
- Cross-Functional Collaboration - Drive alignment and enrolment to a course of action among key cross-functional peers in R&D, Commercial Marketing, Finance, GSARA, Quality and Supply Chain
- Be part of problem-solving processes as required by the team
- Ensure the information flow between all PCM/R&D areas and other relevant stakeholders
- People Management - Develop those in reporting organization through training opportunities, coaching, and performance management practices including conducting annual performance reviews, management succession, and development activities. Manage and assign PCM resources against cluster project priorities.
- Budget Management - Monitor local PCM budget, by controlling budget evolution (incl. travels, lab equipment procures), identifying any deviations between the real and the foreseen and taking corrective measures.
- External Partnerships - Develop and own strategic relationships with key external partners (suppliers, contract labs, etc) to support technical development.
Experience you’ll bring:
- Bachelors in Technical or Engineering - packaging engineering, chemical engineering, or other relevant disciplines
- Minimum 5-7 years’ experience in new product development and commercialization of consumer product goods, or project management, preferably from Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) industry
- Experience in strategic product development which include setting technical, product strategy, new product roadmap
- Demonstrated people management and leadership skills to lead a team
- Project Management and/or NPD development experience
