We are looking for a talented and highly expereinced Manager – Plant Performance and Operational Excellence for Atmus Filtration Technologies.

Location: Cookeville TN – Onsite 

Travel: Less than 10%

Relocation may be provided to those that qualify and currently live within the US, Sponsorship for employment visa status will NOT be provided now or in the future.

We are looking for a talented Senior Manager with 10+ years of managerial experience in plant operations and lean excellence. 

This position will be responsible for supporting the plant manager in the performance of the plant in Safety, Quality, Delivery and Cost. 

You will need to be well versed in manufacturing operations including operations, maintenance, planning and supply chain, warehousing, Lean and cost management.  

This is a career developmental role for future senior roles in Atmus’ global supply chain (including plant manager succession and/or other high-level operations or logistics roles) and will report directly to the Plant Manager and be a member of the Plant Leadership team.  

You are expected to be a leader that drives change with this team.  Strong business acumen is required.   

This position supports and provides manufacturing leadership for small/medium size plant in Cookeville TN.

Responsibilities

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:  

  • Provides manufacturing shop operations leadership and improvement focus in cross functional initiatives regarding driving results, creating and monitoring measures, trends to validate root cause analysis and corrective action plans, providing motivation, and setting expectations in safety, quality, delivery and cost.  Be able to leverage data analytics and digital tools.
  • Partners with internal and external functional stakeholders to maintain relationships to meet all customer and business requirements.
  • Collaborate with global teams to share best practices and standardize lean and operational excellence frameworks.
  • Helps prepare and manage an annual operating plan, forecasts for manufacturing operations and maintenance.
  • Supports the development of the strategy for Operations including automation, digital transformation and customer centricity.
  • Drive a culture of continuous improvement by embedding Lean principles and fostering employee engagement at all levels. Manage by applying the knowledge of Operations Excellence principles.
  • Help identify cost reduction projects and champion them through the process, may also have direct responsibility for some projects. 
  • Coaches site leaders, engineers, and other Operations resources to proactively identify real issues and opportunities, develop prioritized improvement initiatives and coach them through to successful implementation.
  • Mentor and develop high-potential talent and build a strong leadership pipeline.
  • Manage projects in a cross-functional environment and can lead and influence without authority in matrixed and dotted line teams.
  • Coaches and recommends long term resolutions to systemic or complex manufacturing problems across the Atmus network.
Qualifications

To be successful in this role you will need the following:  

Significant relevant experience required, including managerial experience.  

Prefer strong experience leading strategic and change efforts within a function or business; and the ability to make and drive connections across relevant work streams. 

Solid communication and stakeholder management skills, as well as ability to work comfortably amidst ambiguity.  

Broad business leadership experience, including managerial, budgetary, and cross-functional experience, required.  

Filtration experience preferred but not required.

College, university, or bachelor's degree or higher, required. 

10+ years of experience as a manager is required.

This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.

Base salary range: $135,150 to 166,000/year.

Please note that the salary range provided is a good faith estimate on the applicable range. The final salary offer will be determined after considering relevant factors, including a candidate’s qualifications and experience, where appropriate. 

Compensation and Benefits 

Base salary rate commensurate with experience. Additional benefits vary between locations and include options such as our 401(k) Retirement Savings Plan, Medical/Dental/Life Insurance, Health Savings Account, other personal and professional benefits.
