Job Title: Manager Planning
Way of Work: Hybrid (2 days per week in-office, 3 days per week Remote)

Job Summary
Manages the planning, development and implementation of the operations work plan and budget in support of Distribution Operations. Manages both the O&M and capital budget programs to ensure financial and operational goals are realized. Ensures that optimization of work and resource allocation is adequately performed. Reviews baseline historical data required for the development and management of Operating plans and budgets.
Manages the work forecasting and planning process for Distribution Operations. Ensures the Planning Leaders provide strategic technical, financial and functional consultation and support.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

Work closely with scheduling, operations, engineering, procurement, and material handling to anticipate requirements necessary to meet customer expectations and the business plan.

Manage financial and operational plans and implements controls necessary to maintain dependable plans.

Responsible for work planning and resource allocations.

Manage the preparation of the annual and monthly Operation Plan and the translation of the operations plans into operating budgets.

Responsible for budget variance reporting, issue tracking and resolution status.

Design reports covering historical performance and forecasted requirements.

Provide feedback to management regarding operating results, including recommendations on findings.

Keep abreast of business and market trends that may affect the business/department.

Define and participate in the achievement of short and long-term business objectives.

Promote the necessary environment for effective internal customer satisfaction and collaboration.

Evaluate and implement workload level and company/contract decisions to enable effective resource allocation.

Ensure ongoing collaborative relationships with key internal operations partners, i.e. Managers, GM's, and VP's.
Required Qualifications for Position

Five years of experience in Distribution Operations.

Demonstrated understanding of planning and budgeting activities which support the construction, operation, maintenance and service of distribution facilities.

Demonstrated knowledge of operational systems such as WM, DIS/CIS, etc.

Strong knowledge of safety and compliance requirements.

Demonstrated knowledge of operations activities, equipment, supplies and materials.
-
Demonstrated knowledge and ability to grasp technical explanations of operations scenarios and draw accurate conclusions.

Demonstrated project and time management skills. Strong knowledge of budgeting process and systems.

Draw accurate conclusions from quantitative information and make sound decisions.

Proficiency in PC applications including Microsoft Excel, Word & PowerPoint.
Preferred Additional Qualifications for Position

Bachelor's Degree in Business, Engineering, or related curriculum from an accredited college or comparable work experience.

Strong knowledge of company policies and procedures.

Demonstrated knowledge of System Operations standards and processes

Salary Range:
$125,800.00 - $188,600.00
