Manager, Planning and Analysis


Reporting to the Senior Manager, Planning and Analysis, the Manager, Planning and Analysis demonstrates a strong analytical skillset and will have responsibility for supporting PC Express Online Grocery’s long-term success by leveraging your knowledge in forecasting, e-commerce, grocery retail, and business analytics.


What you'll do:

  • Own the end-to-end Periodic forecasting process – including projection of sales, margins, labour for online grocery business
  • Synthesize the projected forecast into a clear and concise presentation for leadership discussion
  • Leverage experience/modelling skills to improve the existing forecasting models and process.
  • Direct long-term strategy, resource allocation, and growth by being a core contributor to the annual financial budget
  • Advance the business analytics capability for online grocery by exploring new tools and methods
  • Conduct exploratory data analysis to highlight areas of opportunities and risks for the online grocery business
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders and understand customer needs and the competitive landscape to develop actionable insights for our business and our leaders

  • You can easily build relationships and have been part of large, cross functional teams that are working to solve complex problems
  • You have effective communication and presentation skills, and can tell a compelling story to an audience of any level
  • You have demonstrated creativity in finding novel solutions/designing innovative methods, systems, and processes

What you have done:

  • You have at least 3-5 years of hands-on experience in a highly analytical role
  • Post-secondary education in business administration, analytics, or data science, or related area
  • You possess excellent data analytical skills and have experience with analytical tools such as SQL, MS Excel, Power-BI, Python
  • Experience in working with forecasting / demand planning functions preferred but not mandatory
  • Experience in generating actionable insights from data and creation of dashboards
  • Experience with Cloud data warehouse technology (e.g., AWS/GCP)
