Job Purpose:

· Drives and deliver pipeline projects within timeline, budget and resource while fostering cross-functional collaboration in and beyond

project teams.

· Serve as the most reliable and trusted partner for leaders, enabling timely and high-quality decision-making, co-creating the strategy and

navigating through governance to achieve project success.

· Focuses on maximizing the value of projects while acting as a strong advocate for Japan and Asia Research and Development (R&D),

ensuring valuable contributions to the global Medicine/Vaccine Development Team

· In addition, as a Therapeutic Area Manager, supports the PPM head and contribute to organizational growth in terms of capability

development of junior project managers.

Key Responsibilities:

· Building Therapeutic Area (TA) level strategy and project strategy together with the leader in alignment with the global strategy

· Pipeline project delivery of individual projects assigned and at the TA level according to the agreed project strategy, timeline, budget and

resource

· Identification and escalation of the project key issues/risks based on analysis of the overall project status of individual projects assigned

and at the TA level

· Planning and ensuring appropriate execution of project team’s stakeholder management including governance of individual projects

assigned and at the TA level

· Ensuring the best scenario, strategic decision is made by the team within the expected timeframe of individual projects assigned and at the

TA level

· Enhancing communication within and across teams of individual projects assigned, at the TA level and with Asia/global stakeholders

· Contribute to GSK-Japan’s key decision relating to new drug development by generating project proposals and managing senior leadership

team and governance engagement

· Contribute to the capability development of junior project managers

· Act as a role model as a TA Manager, demonstrating GSK expectation and Culture

Required Skills:

· Basic Project Management skills/experiences

· Ability to communicate in a global environment and build trust with international stakeholders

· Proven track record of collaborating and coordinating with the team effectively including management of conflicts, and can influence others

positively

· Constantly strives to do things better and faster for patients even when uncertainties remain in the situation

· Resilience and learning agility

· Strong leadership skills and strength in people management

· Good understanding of company business strategy, value and expectations, organization and governance

· Business level English and Japanese

· Basic bachelor's level knowledge in pharmaceutical, biological, or chemical sciences, and experience/knowledge in pharmaceutical

development tasks at a manufacturer or CRO

· Standard OA operations (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Microsoft Teams, etc.)

Preferred Qualification:

· PMP (Project Management Professional) [If not already certified, to be obtained within one year. Financial assistance for certification may

be provided under certain conditions]

· Experience as a project leader or equivalent in pharmaceutical development (e.g., clinical development, regulatory affairs) for multiple

years

· Master's degree in pharmaceutical, biological, or chemical sciences

· Agile project management skills
