RACWA is seeking an experienced leader, who is values driven and people focused, to lead a high performing team within RAC Finance (RACF), responsible for personal finance loans across settlements, aftercare, and collections. This role plays a key part in supporting members throughout the life of their loan, including managing arrears, hardship, and collections.
The Role
As the leader, you will be responsible for the day‑to‑day leadership and performance of a team, managing the ongoing servicing and collections of personal loans. You will coach and support your team to deliver high‑quality outcomes while maintaining RACWA’s strong commitment to fairness, empathy, and responsible collections. You will act as an escalation point for complex cases and ensure processes are followed consistently across settlements, aftercare and arrears management.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, coach, and motivate a team managing asset finance settlements, aftercare, and collections
- Create a positive, engaged, and high‑performing team culture aligned to RAC values
- Support performance conversations, quality assurance, and achievement of team KPIs
- Act as the first point of escalation for complex or sensitive member cases
- Provide regular coaching, feedback, and development to build capability and confidence
- Ensure all activities comply with relevant legislation, regulatory obligations, and RACWA policies
- Provide guidance and oversight on compliant enforcement and repossession processes
- Identify and manage risks, including vulnerable member considerations
About You
You are a confident and supportive leader with a strong background in collections or asset finance operations. You understand the importance of balancing commercial outcomes with genuine care for members.
You will bring:
- Previous experience leading or supervising a collections or loan servicing team
- Solid knowledge of personal asset finance, arrears management, and recovery processes
- Understanding of relevant legislation and responsible collections practices
- Strong coaching skills and the ability to lead performance positively
- Excellent communication skills and sound judgement in complex situations
