The opportunity:

The Performance Marketing Manager plays a key role in delivering customer acquisition, new business growth and marketing performance outcomes across AIA Australia’s Life and Health Insurance portfolios. Working closely with the Senior Performance Marketing Manager, the role executes data-driven performance marketing strategies that optimise demand generation, lead management, customer journeys and conversion across direct and partner channels.


Leveraging customer insights, analytics and cross-functional collaboration, the Performance Marketing Manager drives continuous improvement in full-funnel performance, marketing investment efficiency and commercial outcomes. The role also contributes to broader customer engagement and retention initiatives that support AIA’s growth strategy and purpose of helping people live Healthier, Longer, Better Lives.


To do this successfully you will:

  • Support the Senior Performance Marketing Manager to deliver agreed lead generation, acquisition, new business and marketing investment efficiency outcomes across Life Insurance and Health Insurance.
  • Execute performance marketing strategies that drive customer acquisition, lead generation and new business growth across AIA’s Life and Health Insurance portfolios.
  • Manage end-to-end marketing campaigns across direct and partner channels, from planning and execution through to optimisation and performance measurement.
  • Optimise customer journeys and conversion funnels by identifying opportunities to improve lead quality, conversion rates and marketing investment efficiency.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders across Distribution, Partnerships, Digital, Data, Product and Operations to deliver integrated growth initiatives.
  • Use customer, campaign and commercial insights to inform decision-making, develop recommendations and drive continuous improvement.
  • Lead testing and experimentation programs to enhance campaign effectiveness, customer engagement and business outcomes.
  • Monitor performance, provide actionable reporting and ensure all marketing activity aligns with brand standards, customer outcomes, regulatory requirements and risk frameworks.

Successful applications will demonstrate:

  • Proven experience in performance, digital and direct marketing, ideally within insurance, financial services or another highly regulated, customer-focused industry.
  • Demonstrated success delivering integrated marketing campaigns across digital, traditional and partner channels that drive acquisition, conversion and commercial outcomes.
  • Strong understanding of customer acquisition funnels, including demand generation, lead management, nurture strategies and conversion optimisation.
  • Highly analytical, with the ability to translate customer, campaign and commercial data into actionable insights and measurable business results.
  • Experience working with CRM platforms, marketing automation, customer data platforms, digital journeys and performance measurement frameworks.
  • Strong stakeholder and project management skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across cross-functional teams and manage competing priorities.
  • Tertiary qualification in Marketing, Business or a related discipline, with knowledge of media planning, channel optimisation and data-driven marketing practices highly regarded.
