Key Responsibilities (What You Are Doing)

  • Execute paid acquisition campaigns across Hearst Magazines’ portfolio, supporting memberships, email acquisition, direct products, and brand licensing.
  • Manage and optimize campaigns across social, search, and other acquisition channels, including budgets, bidding strategies, audience targeting, pacing, and performance to drive efficient customer growth and maximize ROI.
  • Lead creative testing and audience experimentation in partnership with Creative, including exploring AI-enabled creative development and emerging advertising opportunities.
  • Analyze campaign performance against established benchmarks and KPIs, identifying opportunities to improve acquisition efficiency, conversion rates, ROAS, and long-term customer value.
  • Partner with Analytics to evaluate attribution, incrementality, and overall business impact, translating findings into actionable recommendations for stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with Audience Growth, Integrated Consumer Marketing, Creative, Product, Lifecycle Marketing, and Analytics to execute integrated acquisition strategies and support broader growth objectives.
  • Oversee campaign setup, QA, budget tracking, forecasting, reporting, and documentation while identifying new platforms, capabilities, audience strategies, and industry trends worth testing.
  • Coach and support Associate Managers in developing performance marketing expertise while fostering a collaborative culture centered on experimentation, continuous learning, and operational excellence.

Qualifications (What We’re Looking For)

  • 4+ years of experience managing paid media campaigns for a consumer business.
  • Hands-on experience with Meta, Google, and other paid acquisition platforms, with a strong understanding of campaign setup, optimization, and measurement.
  • Strong knowledge of customer acquisition and performance marketing metrics, including CPA, CPL, ROAS, conversion rates, and ROI.
  • Experience managing paid media budgets and using performance data to inform campaign optimization and investment decisions.
  • An analytical mindset with the ability to turn complex performance data into clear insights and actionable recommendations.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across creative, analytical, marketing, product, and other cross-functional teams.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills, with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple campaigns and priorities.
  • Curiosity and enthusiasm for experimentation, AI-enabled marketing, emerging platforms, and continuous learning; experience coaching or supporting the development of colleagues is preferred.
  • This role is based in New York City and follows a hybrid schedule requiring four days per week in the office.

The base salary range for this role is $76,000-$82,400. This position is not eligible for bonus or commission compensation. Actual compensation will be determined based on experience, skills, qualifications, and location.
