About the role

The Manager, People Data & Analytics acts as the expert for the built and maintenance of robust and reliable data products ranging from reports over dashboards to analyses and insights. The incumbent leverages their technical data and analytics capabilities to facilitate data enabled decision making across the P&O function while playing a pivotable role in supporting insights generation and storytelling.

Dashboarding & Semantic Modeling 

  • Build and maintain semantic models for advanced KPI tracking ensuring that analytics reflect the nuances of metrics and business logic. 

  • Develop interactive custom PowerBI dashboards and ensure ongoing support (bug fixing, enhancements, regular maintenance, etc.). 

  • Ensure clear and concise data visualization for intuitive usage in support of consistent tracking and storytelling. 

Business Insights & Decision Support 

  • Drive and execute reporting and analytics projects while providing ongoing support. 

  • Analyze and explore datasets to uncover patterns, trends, and performance drivers that include cross domains, cross markets or divisions through the use of analytical tools. 

  • Translate data into actionable insights by combining quantitative analysis with qualitative understanding and support storytelling that enables people decision making. 

Continuous Improvement and Capability Building  

  • Track the adoption and business impact of delivered data products, ensuring they are fit for purpose and support decision making. 

  • Develop and maintain the documentation of KPI dictionaries and analytics standards. 

  • Continuously strive for improved and enhanced data models, pipelines and overall data products. 

  • Ensure full compliance with data governance, quality and other applicable standards. 

Documentation & Communication: 

  • Maintain clear documentation of data sources, definitions, business logic, and dashboard specifications. Communicate updates and changes to all stakeholders.

What You Will Bring

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Engineering, Computer Science, Analytics, or a related field 

  • 5+ years of experience in data engineering, data modelling, or analytics solution development.  

  • Strong hands-on experience with Databricks, PySpark, Microsoft Fabric, and SQL.  

  • Expertise in Power BI, including semantic modeling and DAX optimization.  

  • Passion enabling data-driven insights and elevating a strong data culture. 

  • First experience in insights generation and storytelling supported advanced analytics models. 

  • Experience working with business stakeholders in regional environment is an advantage. 

  • Knowledge of HR processes and specifics is an advantage. 

  • Experience with luxury retail is an advantage. 

  • Technical Capabilities Required:

  • Dashboarding tools (Power BI, Tableau, or similar).  

  • SQL Proficiency: Strong hands-on experience in writing complex queries for data extraction, transformation, and analysis.  

  • Python & PySpark: Working knowledge to collaborate with data engineering and modeling teams, and to handle large-scale data processing tasks.  

  • Databricks Navigation: Ability to work within Databricks notebooks, run queries, manage workflows, and collaborate across teams.  

  • Dashboard Development: Capable of building dashboards from scratch using tools like Power BI, Tableau, or Looker, with a focus on usability and business relevance 

  • Data Visualization: Skilled in designing clear, impactful visualizations that support storytelling and decision-making. 

  • Documentation: Committed to maintaining comprehensive documentation of data sources, definitions, and key business logic.  

  • Insight Translation: Ability to interpret raw data and transform it into actionable insights for business stakeholders.
