Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Vice President – Real Assets Fund Accounting to lead fund accounting operations for Real Assets funds, including Real Estate, Infrastructure, Private Credit, Energy, and other Alternative Investment structures. The individual will be responsible for overseeing fund accounting, financial reporting, NAV review, client servicing, team leadership, and process improvement initiatives while ensuring compliance with regulatory and accounting standards.
The ideal candidate should possess deep expertise in alternative investment fund accounting, strong leadership capabilities, and the ability to manage key client relationships in a dynamic global environment.
Key Responsibilities
Fund Accounting & Financial Reporting
- Oversee end-to-end fund accounting operations for Real Assets funds.
- Review and approve NAV packages, capital account statements, and investor allocations.
- Ensure accurate accounting treatment of investment transactions, including acquisitions, disposals, financing activities, and complex allocations.
- Review quarterly and annual financial statements in accordance with US GAAP, IFRS, and other applicable accounting standards.
- Monitor fund performance metrics and reporting deliverables.
Client Relationship Management
- Act as the primary escalation point for key clients.
- Build strong relationships with fund managers, investment advisors, auditors, and external stakeholders.
- Lead client service review meetings and ensure high-quality service delivery.
- Manage complex client requests and drive resolution within agreed timelines.
Team Leadership & People Management
- Lead and develop a team of Fund Accounting professionals, including AVPs, Managers, and Associates.
- Drive employee engagement, performance management, coaching, and succession planning.
- Conduct regular reviews and provide technical guidance on accounting and reporting matters.
- Ensure effective resource planning and workload management.
Governance & Compliance
- Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements, internal controls, and operational policies.
- Coordinate external audits and support regulatory reporting requirements.
- Drive risk mitigation initiatives and ensure strong governance across processes.
- Maintain compliance with fund documents, partnership agreements, and investor reporting obligations.
Process Improvement & Transformation
- Identify opportunities for process optimization and automation.
- Drive operational excellence initiatives and improve efficiency, scalability, and controls.
- Partner with technology teams for system enhancements and implementation of industry-leading solutions.
- Support strategic projects, migrations, and new client onboarding initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- CA, CPA, ACCA, CFA, MBA (Finance), or equivalent qualification.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, Commerce, or related field.
- 12–18 years of experience in Fund Accounting/Fund Administration with significant exposure to Real Assets.
- Proven experience managing large teams and client relationships.

- Strong experience in Real Estate Fund Accounting, Infrastructure Funds, Private Debt/Private Credit Funds, or related Alternative Investment structures.
