We're seeking a motivated and experienced Payroll Manager to lead payroll operations and inspire a team of Payroll professionals at our Catonsville, Maryland home office. This is an exciting opportunity for a payroll leader who will oversee end-to-end payroll operations and drive continuous improvement initiatives. The ideal candidate is a payroll expert, collaborative leader, and strategic thinker who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about delivering exceptional service and operational excellence.

Compensation:

  • Commensurate with experience from $ $91,000–$100,000 per year, plus eligibility for annual bonus
  • Competitive benefits packages including medical, dental, vision, and PTO in accordance with applicable state law

How you will make an impact:

  • Lead the day-to-day operations of the Payroll team, ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant payroll processing
  • Train, and develop Payroll staff, providing ongoing coaching and performance management
  • Oversee all payroll activities, including regular and off-cycle payments, audits, and issue resolution
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations and stay current on regulatory changes
  • Manage payroll reconciliations, reporting, and analysis, including ad hoc data requests
  • Drive process improvements and maintain payroll policies, procedures, and standard operating documentation
  • Support payroll systems, including upgrades, testing, and technical enhancements
  • Collaborate cross-functionally and build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners

What you will need:

  • Minimum of 5 years of payroll experience, including at least 2 years in a leadership or supervisory role
  • Experience with Workday (required) and UKG (preferred)
  • Strong understanding of federal, state, and local payroll regulations
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and HRIS systems
