The Role

Manager of Partner Recruiting

(Full-time, Remote)

At Fisher Phillips, Partner Recruiting is a strategic growth function that directly supports the firm’s expansion across markets, practices, and industries. The Partner Recruiting Manager plays a critical role in identifying, attracting, and onboarding high-performing lateral partners, attorney groups, and selecting senior attorneys who align with the firm’s long-term business strategy.

This role combines strategic sourcing, project management, market intelligence, and stakeholder partnership. You will work closely with firm leadership, Regional Managing Partners, Practice Group Chairs, Finance, Conflicts, HR, and Marketing to execute recruiting initiatives that drive meaningful growth.

This is not a traditional recruiting role — it is a highly collaborative, consultative position that serves as a trusted advisor to firm leadership and manages complex hiring processes from sourcing through integration. Because of the complexity and visibility of this work, a minimum of 5+ years of law firm recruiting experience is required.

Reporting to the Director of Partner Recruiting, the Partner Recruiting Manager will serve as a project lead for sourcing, recruiting, and onboarding lateral partners, groups, and select senior attorneys across the firm. This position is part of a growing team and will work alongside other Partner Recruiting Managers to support firmwide hiring priorities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead firmwide lateral partner and group recruiting efforts aligned with the firm’s strategic growth objectives.
  • Partner closely with Regional Managing Partners, Practice Group Leaders, and firm leadership to identify hiring needs and develop targeted sourcing strategies.
  • Conduct proactive market mapping, competitive intelligence, and pipeline development across priority markets and practices.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with search firms, industry associations, and professional networks to expand candidate pipelines.
  • Support broader growth initiatives including office expansion, new markets, practice buildouts, and acquisitions.

Pipeline & Process Management

  • Own and manage the full lifecycle of complex partner recruiting processes from outreach through onboarding.
  • Guide candidates through LPQ, interview, conflicts, compensation modeling, and Letter of Understanding stages.
  • Prepare detailed candidate profiles, business case summaries, and briefing materials for leadership review.
  • Coordinate cross-functional due diligence with Finance, Conflicts, HR, IT, Marketing, and Operations.
  • Track multiple concurrent searches and ensure clear communication with all stakeholders.

Data, Reporting & Strategy Support

  • Prepare data analyses, reports, and dashboards on recruiting activity, market trends, and competitive intelligence.
  • Maintain and leverage recruiting databases and sourcing tools to drive efficient pipeline management.
  • Present insights and recommendations to leadership to inform hiring strategy and priorities.
  • Continuously improving processes, workflows, and tools to enhance effectiveness and scalability of the Partner Recruiting function.

Onboarding & Integration

  • Support onboarding and integration of lateral partners and groups in collaboration with firm departments.
  • Ensure a seamless transition from offer through launch and early integration.

Team & Collaboration

  • Collaborate closely with other members of the Partner Recruiting and broader Attorney Recruiting teams.
  • Share best practices and contribute to consistent, high-quality service across the function.
  • Support department initiatives, communications, and special projects as needed.

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree required, JD would be a plus.
  • 5+ years of law firm recruiting experience required, with a minimum of 5 years focused on lateral partner recruiting.
  • Experience managing complex, multi-stakeholder hiring processes.
  • Strong knowledge of recruiting and sourcing technology (LinkedIn Recruiter, viRecruit, Leopard List, or similar platforms.)

Personal Attributes

  • Strategic thinker with strong business acumen.
  • Exceptional project management and organizational skills.
  • Highly detail-oriented with strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Comfortable advising senior leadership and operating as a trusted partner.
  • Able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Exercises sound judgment and discretion with highly confidential information.
  • Self-directed, proactive, and solutions oriented.
  • Collaborative with a strong client-service mindset.

What We Do

The attorneys at Fisher Phillips are committed to providing value to our clients. We do one thing - represent employers in labor and employment matters. Our clients know their legal problems will be treated as business problems and that we strive to help them avoid legal problems. We believe the lawsuit that’s never filed is a better win for a client than a costly defense verdict. Although skilled and tenacious advocates, our attorneys recognize that the most aggressive and expensive approach may not always be the best solution to a client's problem. We seek to identify the client's primary business objective, design a solution to fit the objective, and implement that solution in the most efficient manner possible. By performing compliance audits, providing the right policies, procedures and training, and offering thoughtful advice and counsel, we assist clients in preventing employee claims and lawsuits, government investigations, and union organizing activity. We’re in the client service business and know that many labor and employment problems arise without much warning and require an immediate response. We meet deadlines and provide plenty of advance time where client review of documents is needed. And we communicate with our clients in plain English. Founded in Atlanta, we're national with 37 offices and more than 500 attorneys. Our attorneys practice before state and federal courts and administrative agencies in virtually every state.
