Summary
Owens & Minor is looking for an experienced Oracle Applications Manager to oversee the Oracle EBS General Ledger and Fixed Assets modules, drive integrations with OBIEE, Concur, Workday HR and Coupa systems, enhance current processes and reporting, and implement system improvements in partnership with business finance leaders.
Core Responsibilities
- Ensure the integrity of data migrations between Oracle EBS GL/FA, subledgers, OBIEE, Concur, Workday HR, Coupa, EDW & Planning Applications.
- Provide timely and effective technical support to internal customers to troubleshoot issues and minimize downtime for end users during close and integration support during the month-end close & forecasting processes.
- Strong understanding of financial accounting (GAAP), fixed asset accounting, Oracle EBS close processes, and associated business processes.
- Ability to multi-task and adhere to deadlines, including flexibility to work alternate schedules and overtime (nights and weekends) to support close, forecasting, and project implementation cycles.
- Maintain system documentation, data backups, and understanding of disaster recovery and business continuity practices for Oracle environments.
- Act as a primary liaison between Financial Systems, business stakeholders (Finance, Procurement, HR), IT, and external vendors for Oracle integrations and support.
- Assist the Financial Analysts and management with other Oracle EBSmp;A projects or tasks as requested.
- Support production environment and close processes utilizing ticketing, incident management, and escalation methodologies for Oracle EBS changes and incidents.
- Lead change controls and change management for all Oracle EBS GL, Fixed Assets, and integration changes, including documentation, impact assessment, testing coordination, and user training.
- Perform and oversee routine Oracle EBS GL and Fixed Assets procedures related to the monthly/quarterly close and budget/forecast process, such as period opening/closing, journal imports/posting, FX revaluation, asset additions/transfers/retirements, depreciation runs, and profile option maintenance.
- Manage Oracle EBS application changes, patches, configurations, and migrations between development, test, and production environments following change control processes.
- Design, maintain, and monitor data integrations and interfaces between Oracle EBS GL/FA and other applications such as OBIEE, Concur, Workday HR, Coupa, and the Global Data Warehouse or EDW.
- The anticipated salary range for this position is $105,000-120,000 annually. The actual compensation offered may vary based on job related factors such as experience, skills, education and location. This position is hybrid role located in Richmond, Virginia.
Qualifying Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, business Administration, or related field of study; Master’s Degree preferred
- Expertise in Oracle EBS General Ledger and Fixed Assets modules. Administration skills required, including configuration of ledgers, accounting structures, subledger accounting, journal controls, period management, asset categories, depreciation methods, retirements, and financial reporting setups. General knowledge of Oracle EBS integrations and related financial modules.
- Project management experience (leading design sessions, requirements gathering, resolution discussions, testing, go-live and hypercare support).
- Oracle EBS R12 or higher (GL & Fixed Assets expertise preferred)

- Minimum of eight years in progressing IT or Finance Systems roles; minimum of five years directly related to Oracle EBS General Ledger and/or Fixed Assets
- Or any equivalent combination of education and experience to meet the above requirements.
- Experience in large, cross-functional teams interacting with senior-level management and key stakeholders effectively across the organization and within complex contexts (strategic planning, organization design and development, etc.)
- Ability to learn and utilize Oracle EBS, OBIEE, and related financial/enterprise software packages.
- Demonstrable proficiency in Microsoft Excel, SQL, and data analysis/reporting tools.
- Demonstrable ability to interpret and write SQL, PL/SQL scripts or integration APIs; Oracle EBS or OBIEE experience a strong plus.
