As an Operations Manager at RXO, you will manage and administer operational policies and procedures that support the team’s objective to ensure the highest possible quality and accuracy for our customers. What your day-to-day will look like:
- Analyze and manage budget vs. actual performance, identifying key drivers of variances and providing actionable insights to improve financial results and operational efficiency.
- Partner with finance teams to support revenue recognition, invoicing accuracy, and accrual processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting tied to operational activity.
- Manage and support accrual processes, validating operational inputs and ensuring accurate reflection of revenue and expenses during month-end close.
- Oversee revenue and billing processes, ensuring accurate invoice generation aligned with contractual terms and operational activity; partner cross-functionally to resolve discrepancies and maintain financial integrity.
- Leverage data and reporting tools to conduct deep-dive analysis on KPIs, including volume, productivity (FTE efficiency), cost per load, and margin performance.
- Develop and maintain performance dashboards and reporting frameworks to improve visibility into key operational and financial metrics.
- Identify trends, risks, and opportunities through advanced data analysis, driving continuous improvement initiatives across operations and financial performance.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with operations, finance, and leadership teams to translate data into strategic recommendations that drive profitability and scalability.
- Drive process improvements that enhance operational productivity, billing accuracy, and financial predictability.
At a minimum, you’ll need:
- 5 years of supervisory experience in logistics and/or transportation
It’d be great if you also have:
- Bachelor’s degree in Transportation, Supply Chain, or a related field
- Availability to travel occasionally
- Ability to quickly learn and achieve proficiency in new software applications
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to present clean, organized, and thorough information and data appropriate for intended audience
- Ability to perform complex analysis of data, processes, policies, procedures and/or systems; produce unambiguous, comprehensive, and accurate interpretations
- Strong transportation operations expertise with a solid foundation in financial analysis and reporting
- Ability to bridge the gap between operations and finance to drive informed decision-making
