Manager of Education and Development – Baptist Health Floyd

Baptist Health Floyd is seeking a Manager of Education and Development to lead organizational development and staff education initiatives that support the hospital’s strategic plan and organizational goals.

This position is responsible for coordinating educational and performance improvement activities designed to enhance staff knowledge, skills, professional development, and overall performance. Serving as a consultant, change agent, facilitator, liaison, and ambassador within Baptist Health Floyd, the Manager works collaboratively with leaders and staff across the organization to identify educational needs and develop solutions that support quality patient care and organizational excellence.

The Manager will supervise and direct nurse educators and provide leadership for nursing orientation, residency programs, competency development, and other key educational initiatives. Responsibilities include overseeing New Employee Orientation, Annual Updates, and the Safety Education Program, as well as developing, implementing, evaluating, and coordinating educational opportunities that promote staff performance and professional growth.

The ideal candidate will be a collaborative and innovative leader with a strong commitment to professional development, organizational excellence, and creating a positive learning environment for staff.

Requirements:

Candidates must be a Registered Nurse with an active license to practice in the state of Indiana.

Bachelor's degree in Nursing required; Master's degree preferred

A minimum of three years of nursing education experience required.

NPD (Nursing Professional Development) Certification preferred.

Previous supervisory or leadership experience is preferred.
