What Will You Do?As the North LATAM Payroll Manager, you will lead payroll operations across Mexico, Costa Rica, and Peru, ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant payroll delivery in alignment with Johnson Controls’ global standards. You will drive operational excellence, standardization, and continuous improvement while partnering with HR, Finance, and external vendors.
How Will You Do It?Payroll Operations Delivery
Oversee end-to-end payroll processing using Workday, PeopleNet, UKG and Softland.
Manage payroll cycles, validations, reconciliations, and approvals.
Ensure accurate processing of earnings, deductions, and statutory requirements.
Compliance & Governance
Maintain knowledge of payroll regulations in Mexico, Costa Rica and Peru.
Ensure compliance with statutory requirements and internal controls.
Partner with Legal, HR, and Finance to mitigate risks.
Vendor & Stakeholder Managament
Manage payroll vendors and ensure SLA adherence.
Partner with HR and Finance leaders across the region.
Leadership & Team Development
Lead and develop a regional payroll team.
Provide guidance on payroll processes and compliance.
Continuous Improvement & Transformation
Drive process improvements and standardization.
Optimize Workday, PeopleNet, and Softland usage.
Reporting & Financial Partnership
Deliver KPIs and payroll insights.
Support finance with accruals and reconciliations.
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, HR or related field
7+ years payroll experience, including LATAM
3+ years leadership experience
Experience with Workday, PeopleNet, UKG, and/or Softland
Fluency in Spanish and English
Experience in multinational companies (preferred)
