Responsibilities
  • Grow the Niche Product segment with a focus on Region Asia exports in line with defined volume target.

  • Create efficient, effective tools and processes enabling quick reaction to changing market dynamics.

  • Drive and steer Area performance (based on Product Segment responsibility, Trade responsibility and Area responsibility) by exceeding key performance indicators deliverables.

  • Working closely with other departments to align on business optimization, allocation management.

  • Initiate and conduct market studies to identify Niche volume potential, growth opportunities.

  • Review contribution, cargo mix in line with business/revenue optimization.

  • Review escalations and obstacles encountered to ensure business retention.

  • Pricing responsibilities of In-Gauge, Out-of-Gauge Shipments.

  • Ensuring forecast accuracies, in tandem with adequate equipment supply availability (when applicable).

  • Advise and guide the organization of market trends, driving performance and key area of focus.

  • Meet customers to gain market insights, supporting Sales organization in business development.

  • Campaign Management to follow up on Sales Leads, Customer Pipeline.

  • Roll out / conduct relevant Sales Trainings (Niche) when required.

Qualifications
  • University degree and 5 years of relevant experience in the maritime industry or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Strong stakeholder management with advanced negotiation, decision-making, presentation skills.

  • Demonstrated ability in terms of verbal/written communication skills.

  • Demonstrated ability to multi-task, set priorities, organize and implement action items.

  • Self-starter, self-motivated, resourceful, responsive and analytical.

  • Works well under tight deadlines.

  • Microsoft Office proficiency (Excel, PPT).

  • Yield Management / Trade Management experience would be an advantage.

  • Commercial exposure in either Reefer, Special Cargo or Dangerous Goods would be an advantage.

Skills Required

  • University degree and 5 years of relevant experience in the maritime industry or equivalent combination of education and experience
