Job Description
ABOUT YOUR ROLE
You will be responsible for Product & Process Development with the responsibility to introduce new materials and products in line with the PLT team and AOP needs through the DDOS model and via the use of Six Sigma skills / processes. You will manage the Overall Innovation process for ASEAN, with focus on Product led Innovation, facilitating Ideation, filtration, benchmarking of ideas, and execution
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE:

Locate or develop new raw materials with suppliers to ensure products introduced to the market are of the greatest value.

Work with PLT teams to identify new product opportunities and assess the commercial feasibility of new Products.

Identify raw materials required for producing new laminate products that meet with customers' and end-users requirements and list VoC/CTQs.

Assess the technical and process capabilities of the plant to consistently produce new products and identify if new investments in technology or fixed assets are required.

Coordinate with relevant functions to set the project timeline to develop and introduce new products.

Cross-functionally manage new product development projects with ADIKC/NRC and relevant functions and ensure the new product Introduction to the market is on schedule.

Work closely with Operation teams in conducting coater trials in the plants, with a focus on managing trials in ASEAN Plants.

Work with the knowledge center in conducting converting trials of new products with customers & end-users and collate the Converting trials summary.

Establish technical specifications of new products and preparation of product datasheets.

Support Sales & Marketing teams for the launch of new products.

Produce monthly reports on the new product introduction activities.

Qualify new raw material and/or new suppliers

Lead production trials, converting and application trials, provide technical recommendations and ensure success of product qualification.

Lead and coordinate across relevant functions for trial success, analyze trial reports and assist in resolving any obstacles related to the material qualification.

Assess customer needs in order to recommend appropriate products/services. Investigate new applications or improvements to products with customers.

Manage the Processes used for development including VoC/CTQs; New Raw Material & Laminate Specs & Tracking Development projects.

Gather the feedback from customers & end-users on the existing product construction and improve its performance to meet with customers & end-users’ requirements.

Lead the Innovation Process for ASEAN.

Facilitate the entire Innovation Process for ASEAN, along with the stakeholders in respective countries.

Focus on Idea pipeline / Screening of New ideas/ execution of ideas- Product Ideas.

Be the overall Champion for the Innovation Process both Product and Non Product ( with the help of other functions) and drive the quality of Innovation in the region.
Qualifications
- Bachelors /Masters in Engineering, preferably Chemical/Polymer science or other relevant disciplines.
- 8 years of working experience in packaging film / paper manufacturing; adhesive compounding or related industries.
- Experience with product development and product commercialization processes.
- Strong Project Management skills – Drive; document and execute strategies when leading projects to meet the business needs and timeframes.
- Six Sigma Skills – Certified GB Level is good to have.
- Excellent problem solving analysis and analytical skills.
- Customer focus with strong customer relationship-building experience.
- Independent and team player.
- Excellent written technical and verbal communication and presentation skills.
- Lead project teams and facilitate / encourage strong multi functional team work.
