Job Description

About the Opportunity

Solaris is looking for a Manager of NetSuite to own our NetSuite platform end to end. This is a hands-on leadership role: you will be the company’s functional and technical authority on NetSuite, the primary point of contact for our implementation partner and Oracle account team, and the person Finance turns to when the system needs to do something it does not do today.

The platform supports multiple legal entities across international jurisdictions, which means this role goes well beyond routine administration. Multi-subsidiary structure, multi-currency transactions, intercompany activity, consolidation, and country-specific statutory and tax requirements are core to the work. Experience standing up or supporting international entities in NetSuite OneWorld is essential — a candidate whose experience is limited to a single-country, single-entity deployment will find this role difficult.

We are equally interested in breadth across the platform. The ideal candidate is fluent on the financial side — general ledger, close, AR and AP, revenue recognition, and reporting — and also understands how the CRM side of NetSuite is used day to day by commercial teams, including customer records, leads and opportunities, quoting, and order flow. Knowing how those two halves of the platform affect one another is what makes this role effective.

As a publicly traded company, Solaris holds NetSuite to SOX standards. Role design, segregation of duties, access reviews, and disciplined change management are part of the job, not an afterthought.

Essential Functions

Platform Ownership

  • Serve as the functional and technical owner of NetSuite, accountable for platform health, configuration standards, and the delivery roadmap
  • Manage the relationship with our NetSuite implementation partner and Oracle account team, including scoping of statements of work, oversight of partner deliverables, and license renewal and true-up discussions
  • Own release management for NetSuite upgrades — evaluate release notes, coordinate sandbox regression testing, and communicate impacts to business owners ahead of each release
  • Evaluate, implement, and administer SuiteApps and third-party solutions where native functionality does not meet a business requirement
  • Maintain configuration and process documentation so that platform knowledge is not resident in a single person

International and Multi-Subsidiary Operations

  • Administer and extend the NetSuite OneWorld multi-subsidiary structure, including subsidiary setup, chart of accounts alignment, and accounting period management across entities
  • Support multi-currency transactions, revaluation, translation, and consolidated reporting across international operations
  • Configure and maintain intercompany transactions, eliminations, and reconciliation processes
  • Partner with Finance and Tax on country-specific statutory, e-invoicing, and indirect tax requirements, including localization SuiteApps and integrations with certified local providers
  • Lead the NetSuite workstream for new entity setup, acquisitions, and geographic expansion, from requirements through go-live and post-go-live stabilization

Finance Functionality

  • Support the financial close process, working with Accounting to resolve system issues that affect close timelines
  • Administer core financial modules including general ledger, accounts receivable, accounts payable, fixed assets, and bank reconciliation
  • Support revenue recognition configuration and troubleshooting in line with company accounting policy
  • Build and maintain saved searches, reports, KPIs, and dashboards that give Finance leadership reliable, self-service visibility
  • Translate finance requirements into system solutions and push back constructively when a requested configuration would create downstream reporting or control problems

CRM and Commercial Functionality

  • Administer the CRM side of NetSuite including customer and contact records, leads, opportunities, quotes, sales orders, and the order-to-cash flow into invoicing
  • Support commercial teams on pricing, approval workflows, and territory or role-based access to customer data
  • Maintain data quality across customer and item master records, including deduplication and governance standards
  • Coordinate with owners of adjacent systems so that customer, order, and billing data stays consistent across the application landscape

Compliance and Controls

  • Design and maintain NetSuite roles and permissions with segregation of duties as a primary constraint, remediating conflicts as they are identified
  • Support SOX IT general controls including quarterly user access reviews, privileged access verification, and change management evidence
  • Partner with internal and external auditors, producing requested system evidence accurately and on time
  • Enforce a disciplined change process — documented requirements, sandbox testing, business approval, and controlled migration to production

Leadership and Delivery

  • Manage NetSuite project delivery from intake through deployment, setting realistic scope and timelines and communicating status to IT and Finance leadership
  • Direct the work of partner consultants and any future NetSuite team members, providing technical direction and quality review
  • Train and support end-users across Finance and commercial functions, building durable adoption rather than one-off fixes
  • Deliver first-class service to end-users across the organization, including field operations, corporate functions, and the Executive Team

Experience/Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and hands-on experience
  • 6+ years of hands-on NetSuite experience as an administrator, functional consultant, or systems manager
  • Demonstrated experience with NetSuite OneWorld in a multi-subsidiary, multi-currency, international environment — including subsidiary setup, consolidation, and intercompany processes
  • Direct experience supporting international operations, including exposure to country-specific statutory reporting, e-invoicing, or indirect tax requirements
  • Strong functional command of NetSuite financial modules: general ledger, AR, AP, fixed assets, close, and financial reporting
  • Working knowledge of NetSuite CRM functionality including customer records, leads and opportunities, quoting, and order management
  • Practical understanding of accounting fundamentals sufficient to hold a credible conversation with Controllers and Accounting staff
  • Experience with saved searches, reports, dashboards, workflows (SuiteFlow), and customization via forms, fields, and records
  • Experience with NetSuite integrations to third-party systems via SuiteTalk, REST, or middleware platforms
  • Experience designing NetSuite roles and permissions with segregation of duties in mind
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, with the ability to explain system constraints clearly to finance and commercial stakeholders

Qualifications

Key Skills and Qualifications

  • Bilingual in finance and commercial – comfortable moving between a subsidiary consolidation question, a revenue recognition configuration, and a sales order workflow in the same afternoon
  • Controls-minded – treats segregation of duties and change control as design inputs rather than obstacles
  • Exceptional communicator – direct and transparent, skilled problem-solver with proven success in building coalitions and avoiding conflicts
  • Total ownership mentality – proactively identifies and removes obstacles across numerous ongoing tasks
  • Independent thinker – provides original thoughts and constantly asking "how can we do this better"
  • Innovative thinker – willingness to consider novel solutions and ability to adapt to change
  • Desirable teammate – impeccable character, humility, and collaborative
  • Relentless – aspires to contribute and achieve his/her full potential
