- Lead a team developing next generation electric motors for HVACR systems.
- Work with compressor and variable frequency drive research and development teams to optimize system performance and cost.
- Be responsible for maintaining and expanding common design methodologies.
- Evaluate new materials, test methods, manufacturing processes, modeling techniques and software, and alternative motor technologies.
- Act as a subject matter expert for management and new product development teams.
- Master’s degree in electrical engineering with ten years or more years of relevant experience.
- Minimum of seven years of electric motor design experience.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the capacity to convey complex regulatory information to diverse audiences
- Proven project management abilities, with a track record of managing multiple priorities and deadlines
- Experience with managing a team of highly skilled engineers and being able to collaborate with others on multi-functional projects
- Experience with hermetic refrigerant compressor applications
