The Manager, Modeling & Seg Analytics reports to the AVP, Credit Risk Management. This position is responsible for leading a team that is responsible for the design, development and implementation of proprietary credit score models and machine learning techniques that help improve our already strong predictive analytics capabilities.
What you’ll do:
Lead a team that will develop predictive models that will form the basis of information-driven strategies executed within Credit Risk which includes credit limit assignment, marketing promotions, collections and account origination adjudication
Develop and maintain expertise with lending, credit scoring, behaviour scoring, portfolio management, direct marketing, data mining and industry trends
Oversee predictive model development, validation and evaluation through development of objective specific metrics
Perform adhoc analysis on the CTB portfolio and translate results into actionable recommendations
Coach and mentor a team of skilled data scientists and assist in their individual development
Demonstrate analytical, mathematical and problem-solving skills
Take a collaborate approach to build strong relationships and have positive team experiences
Adjust and prioritize accordingly to adapt to business demands and requirements
Demonstrate core values with an ability to lead a high performing team
What you bring:
Successful completion of University Education Program (Mathematics, Economics, Finance)
Experience leading a highly skilled analytical team
10 + years experience in Analytics or Credit Risk Management
Experience leading a credit scoring team
Experience in application of analytical and presentation tools
Knowledge of statistics and predictive models
Exceptional communication skills with the confidence and passion to share knowledge
Creative thinker who is curious and has an independent drive for self learning and understanding
Goal driven individual to seek out continuous improvement opportunities
Solid foundation of relevant technical skills
