SHSO-Sutter Health System Office-ValleyPosition Overview:
Oversees the development, planning and implementation of educational and simulation activities for the mobile simulation unit. Manages the overall operations of the program and ensures compliance with regulatory agencies. Collaborates with department managers, physicians, staff and others to develop simulation activities. Assists with the implementation, monitoring, auditing and other activities to support the interdisciplinary care team through simulation.Relocation bonus may be available for this role.
Job Description:
Travel throughout the Sutter Health System will be required to effectively meet the needs of the program.
EDUCATION:
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
DEPARTMENT REQUIRED EDUCATION:
- BS, BSN, MS, MSN or MBA
CERTIFICATION & LICENSURE:
- RN-Registered Nurse of California
- BLS-Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider
TYPICAL EXPERIENCE:
- 8 years recent relevant experience
SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:
- Demonstrated knowledge of concepts of educational needs assessment, planning, curriculum development, training implementation, and evaluation required.
- Demonstrates understanding of adult learning and simulation theories.
- Demonstrated leadership skills, including team building, and coaching/mentoring with the ability to motivate and engage others.
- Demonstrates solid clinical proficiency and knowledge to effectively plan and coordinate patient care consistent with applicable laws, standards and regulations.
- Working knowledge and thorough understanding of state/federal/local and/or accreditation standards and requirements as it relations to operations and organization, with the ability interpret and implement applicable standards and requirements.
- Demonstrates ability to develop and manage a budget.
- Demonstrates tactical and analytical thinking and planning skills, and is able to develop plan to accomplish objectives, identify obstacles and resolve operational issues.
- Knowledge of emerging treads and how it impacts operations.
- Ability to build and establish effective working partnership with employees, peers and/or leaders to achieve business objectives.
- Verbal and written communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to handle difficult circumstances and make sound business decisions with little direction.
- Demonstrates ability to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment with changing business priorities.
- Ability to use essential software and applications associated with the role’s duties and responsibilities.

Pay Range is $85.47 to $136.76 / hour. Emeryville Pay Range is $97.13 to $155.40 / hour.The salary range for this role may vary above or below the posted range as determined by location. This range has not been adjusted for any specific geographic differential applicable by area where the position may be filled. Compensation takes into account several factors including but not limited to a candidate’s experience, education, skills, licensure and certifications, department equity, training and organizational needs. Base pay is just one piece of the total rewards program offered by Sutter Health. Eligible roles also qualify for a comprehensive benefits package.
