Job Summary
As the Manager, Media Strategy and Performance at Optimum, you will play a pivotal role in optimizing and driving media strategies to ensure impactful performance across various advertising channels. You will leverage your expertise in ad campaign reporting in order to draw actionable insights that align with our business objectives. This position requires experience in programmatic digital media (display and online video/OLV) and a keen understanding of paid search and paid social performance. The ideal candidate has experience with direct response media. You should have the ability to translate the media data into compelling narratives and strategic recommendations. This role also requires a balance of technical and strategic tasks while emphasizing storytelling and communication skills.
Responsibilities
Offer Strategy & Optimization:
- Centralize offer strategy and lead communications with agency teams and internal teams to develop integrated media and creative messaging strategies that leverage a mix of digital media channels, including display, OLV, paid search, and paid social.
- Manage zip code level segmentation and targeting to effectively support offer initiatives.
- Support media channel owners to continuously optimize media strategies based on performance data and insights.
Programmatic Media:
- Provide guidance to programmatic agency team from strategic planning, campaign execution, optimizations, and reporting to support business goals and performance KPIs.
- Ideal candidate understands the DSP ecosystem, bidding algorithms, audience targeting, and suppression tactics.
- Act as the key liaison for Dynamic Creative Optimization (DCO) initiatives, bridging communication between Marketing stakeholders to Creative agency partners to ensure cohesive strategy, timely asset delivery, and effective campaign execution.
Ad Operations:
- Develop, manage, and maintain tracking URL structures and filename parameters to ensure seamless ad campaign tracking and data accuracy.
- Implement and monitor processes to uphold consistency and precision in tagging across multiple campaigns and platforms.
- Collaborate with internal teams to resolve tracking-related issues, ensuring campaigns are properly measured and optimized.
- Drive adherence to best practices for tracking and parameter management to enhance operational efficiency.
Media Analytics:
- Utilize tools like Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics, and DCM to monitor and analyze campaign performance across digital and social media platforms.
- Synthesize complex data sets into performance reports with clear, actionable insights across offers, creatives, audience behavior, and overall engagement trends to guide marketing strategies.
- Conduct eCommerce performance evaluations, identifying opportunities to boost conversions and ROI.
- Ensure accurate implementation of marketing site tags and proper data collection to support comprehensive performance tracking.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field.
  • 6-8 years of experience in media strategy, digital marketing, or performance analytics, with a strong emphasis on programmatic digital channels and understanding of the paid search and paid social in the digital media ecosystem.
  • Demonstrated expertise in data analysis, with a proven ability to generate actionable insights from campaign data and reporting.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including complex data manipulation, pivot tables, and formulas.
  • Strong experience creating visually engaging PowerPoint presentations that effectively communicate insights and strategies to key stakeholders.
  • Exceptional communication and storytelling skills, with the ability to simplify complex data for non-technical stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • A strong understanding of digital media trends and performance metrics, as well as a passion for optimizing media investments.
  • Experience working in the telecommunications or similar industry is a plus.
  • Knowledge of creative optimization and its role in media performance.

This position is identified as being performed in/or reporting to company operations in New York State. Salary ranges are supplied in compliance with New York State law. Pay is competitive and based on a number of job-related factors, including skills and experience. The starting pay rate/range at time of hire for this position in the posted location is $123,379.00 - $202,694.00 / year. The rate/range provided herein is the anticipated pay at the time of hire, and does not reflect future job opportunity.
