Mastercard has an exciting opportunity for an experienced marketing professional to join the Integrated Marketing & Communications (IMC) team in Germany as Performance & Digital Growth Manager (AI & AEO Focus)
This role is responsible for planning, executing, and measuring integrated marketing and sponsorship initiatives aligned with global and regional priorities. Working with a high degree of autonomy, the role manages defined marketing platforms, campaigns, and partnerships, while collaborating closely with local, regional, and global stakeholders. The position plays an important role in translating strategy into execution, ensuring strong market activation, consistent brand representation, and measurable business impact across B2C, B2B2C, and B2B contexts.
THE ROLE • Own and optimize multi-channel performance marketing campaigns across DACH (Paid Search, Paid Social, Programmatic, Affiliate).• Lead Mastercard's AEO strategy for DACH and collaborate with the Global AEO team (Search Marketing), to plan and optimize content for AI-driven discovery platforms and conversational search.• Responsible for the website performance and compliance which includes; actioning AEO, SEO, analytics, social insights to inform new or optimized site content. Ensure global website best practices are met from UX/UI and compliance standards (accessibility etc). On time-sensitive occasions author site content via AEM.• Continuously optimize campaigns through testing, experimentation, and
audience segmentation.• Oversee the end-to-end digital ecosystem, including tracking frameworks,
tagging, consent management, and analytics.• Ensure best-in-class UX and conversion optimization across DACH digital
touchpoints (web, landing pages, partner platforms).• Collaborate with regional and global teams to deploy scalable solutions adapted to local market nuances.• Ensure full compliance with GDPR, German data protection standards, and
consent frameworks.• Lead Mastercard's AEO strategy for DACH, optimizing for AI-driven discovery
platforms and conversational search.• Develop and implement structured content strategies to ensure visibility in AI powered answer engines.• Partner with content and Search Marketing teams to evolve from traditional SEO into AI-first discoverability by following AEO & SEO best practices.• Monitor shifts in DACH digital and search behaviour, adapting strategy
accordingly.• Identify and scale AI-powered marketing solutions (automation, predictive
targeting, creative optimization).• Introduce AI tools to enhance campaign performance, personalization, and
efficiency.• Drive pilot projects and innovation initiatives in collaboration with regional/global innovation teams.• Act as an internal thought leader on AI in marketing, elevating team capabilities.• Own reporting and dashboarding for DACH, translating data into clear,
actionable insights for leadership.• Improve attribution models and performance measurement in a complex
multichannel environment.• Provide recommendations for budget allocation and growth opportunities based on data.• Ensure alignment with regional/global KPI frameworks.
ALL ABOUT YOU• Experienced at prompting, operating and evaluating Agent based workflow tools. In particular, Agent systems that enhance the ability to quickly develop, adapt and output text or image base content to improve localization, research , AEO and SEO• Working knowledge of SEO and AEO principles, with the ability to ensure effective implementation across content and digital initiatives• Several years of hands-on experience in marketing, communications, or
partnerships, ideally within an international, matrixed organization• Proven ability to independently manage marketing initiatives end-to-end and
coordinate multiple stakeholders• Strong understanding of integrated marketing and digital channels, with the
ability to translate strategy into effective execution• Structured, reliable, and solution-oriented working style, comfortable managing complexity and multiple parallel initiatives• Experience working with and steering agency partners to deliver quality output
and meet objectives• Solid analytical skills, with experience in performance tracking, reporting, and
budget management• Confident communicator with the ability to interact effectively with senior
stakeholders and cross-functional partners• Experience with sponsorships, partnerships, or platform-based marketing is an advantage• Fluent verbal and written communication skills in English and German
language skills
