The Role
Manage social listening and community engagement through Sprinklr, creating content across various platforms, and providing analytical reports to enhance brand awareness.
Summary Generated by Built In

MongoDB is growing and gaining adoption rapidly across the globe with the most demanding and innovative companies and development teams in enterprise software.

We are seeking a highly-organized and creative Social Media Manager. This role is a hybrid of strategic content creation, data-driven social listening, and hands-on community engagement. You will work across our social networks to drive brand awareness, drive our editorial calendar in APAC, and engage directly with our community.

You will be a hands-on expert in our social platform (Sprinklr), using it to monitor conversations, publish content, and report on performance. You'll apply human judgment for nuanced technical interactions, ensuring our community feels heard, valued, and excited about building the future of software on MongoDB.

This role will be based remotely in India.

Key Responsibilities

Social Listening & Engagement (60%)

  • Monitor key social and community channels using Sprinklr to track brand mentions, user sentiment, emerging trends, and competitive intelligence
  • Provide regular analytical reports on follower growth, engagement, and content performance, including high-level key learnings, areas of optimization, and takeaways
  • Support the Social Media team by analyzing post and campaign performance to inform future strategy
  • Deliver actionable quarterly reports to key partners in marketing, summarizing audience sentiment, content performance, competitive intelligence, and key content gaps to inform broader team strategy
  • Organically grow our digital developer community through proactive monitoring, managing, and engaging with the audience. You will be responsible for executing a rapid-response workflow, ensuring high-priority brand mentions and trending conversations receive a public response in a timely manner
  • Act as a key voice of the brand, ensuring all interactions align with MongoDB’s voice and tone campaigns (like events) and evergreen content strategies
What You'll Bring
  • Experience: 4–6 years in social media, community management, or social strategy, preferably within a B2B or developer-focused tech company
  • Platform Expertise: Direct, hands-on experience with enterprise social media management and listening platforms. Deep expertise with Sprinklr is essential
  • Communication Skills: Coordinate cross-functionally with Developer Advocacy, Product, and Support teams to escalate high-impact technical questions, bugs, or feature requests and orchestrate collaborative responses

Content Production & Strategy for the APAC Region (40%)

  • Develop, oversee, and produce compelling social media content for our multi-channel presence (X, LinkedIn, YouTube, Reddit, etc.)
  • Partner with our Communications team in APAC to define and execute content calendars that balance planned initiatives with real-time reactions to industry news and developer discussions, especially in the AI space
  • Brainstorm and pitch creative concepts for social media initiatives, supporting both seasonal/excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a proven ability to write compelling social copy and engage technical audiences
  • Content Creation: Must be a skilled content creator with the ability to support messaging needs through both content calendars and live, off-the-cuff channel management
  • Organizational Skills: Must be highly organized and have excellent time-management skills to manage multiple channels and a fast-paced content calendar
  • Analytical Mindset: A strong analytical mindset with experience turning data into stories and actionable insights
  • Ecosystem Knowledge: A strong understanding of the developer landscape, including key platforms (Reddit, YouTube, X, Discord) and the type of content that resonates with them
  • Collaborative & Proactive: Must be a proactive team-player, willing to continually learn and problem-solve, and comfortable escalating situations as needed
  • Proficiency: Proficient in G-Suite (Docs, Sheets, Slides, etc.)
