About the Role:
Reporting to the Director of Marketing Data Science - Product & Technology, this role will be responsible for helping to execute on Dow Jones’ investment in next-gen marketing data science and analytics in support of its Enterprise clients. This professional will be responsible for facilitating and streamlining data utilization from pipelines to reporting and modeling. Working closely with the marketing and technology teams this individual will help to operationalize everything from advanced analytics, predictive modeling, and machine learning to optimize performance, improve customer profiling and retention activities, and enhance overall marketing effectiveness across DJ’s Enterprise solutions.

Responsibilities:

Data Infrastructure and Technology: Collaborate with Technology teams (data engineering and product) to establish and maintain robust data infrastructure, ensuring data quality, accessibility, and security. Ensure the right data ecosystem (data lake, data warehouse, softwares etc.) is built and maintained by the Tech teams to enable Marketing data scientists to conduct analysis and build models with ease.

Model Implementation: Collaborate with the ML Ops teams to ensure the right model implementation infrastructure is in place for the marketing modelers.

Data Strategy and Governance: Ensure data governance, quality, privacy and security standards are met while collaborating on the development and implementation of data strategies that align with business goals working with data engineers, data scientists and other technical teams to ensure solutions meet project requirements.

Data-driven Marketing Strategies: Utilize reporting and querying tools to help better leverage customer data, including demographic information, transactional data, online behavior, and social media data in order to help drive actionable insights to optimize marketing strategies, improve customer targeting, and personalize marketing campaigns.

Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including marketing, technology, product, and finance, to understand their business needs and translate them into data-driven solutions. Present insights and recommendations to senior executives and stakeholders in a clear and compelling manner.
You Have:

7+ years experience in data science, data engineering, and/or marketing analytics preferred

Degree in a quantitative field such as Data Science, Computer Science, or related disciplines

Proficiency in a programming language such as Python, R or SQL

Experience with cloud data store platforms such as AWS, Databricks, Snowflake, Big Query and ETL tools and applications

Familiarity with marketing automation platforms, CRM systems and digital analytics tools

Experience with data visualization and reporting tools such as Tableau, Looker or Power BI
-
Strong business acumen and the ability to effectively communicate complex concepts to non-technical audiences

Understanding of marketing principles, customer segmentation strategies, and digital marketing channels
-
Understanding of data modeling principles and ML operations a plus

Pay Range: $110,000 - $140,000
