JOB FUNCTION / SUMMARY:

The Manager, Marketing Automation oversees the technical strategy, execution, and optimization of the bank’s marketing automation platforms, with a focus on Salesforce Marketing Cloud and HubSpot. This role drives operational efficiency, integration capabilities, and campaign performance across digital marketing channels. Responsible for leading a team of specialists, this position ensures scalable marketing processes, platform health, and data-driven execution aligned with business goals.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead the development and execution of marketing automation strategies across platforms including HubSpot and Salesforce Marketing Cloud.
  • Manage and maintain marketing technology stack integrations with CRM, CMS, and other enterprise platforms (e.g., Salesforce FSC, WordPress, Encompass, Splash).
  • Build cross-channel campaign frameworks and ensure effective audience targeting and engagement through automated workflows.
  • Partner with Engineering, UX, Creative, Marketing, and Business Intelligence teams to deliver seamless and timely execution of marketing initiatives.
  • Create scalable, data-driven marketing processes and oversee best practices in database management and system hygiene.
  • Serve as subject-matter expert for campaign architecture, platform capabilities, data strategy, and marketing APIs.
  • Monitor campaign performance, conduct attribution analysis, and deliver actionable insights through reporting and visualization tools.
  • Maintain system health, platform governance, and long-term roadmap for HubSpot and Salesforce Marketing Cloud.
  • Ensure alignment of marketing automation strategy with enterprise-wide goals and compliance requirements.
  • Supervise and develop a high-performing team of marketing automation professionals and contractors

MINIMUM REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & KNOWLEDGE:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • 7 years of experience in marketing automation, digital campaign execution, or martech systems.
  • Expertise in marketing automation platforms (HubSpot, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Marketo).
  • Strong understanding of CRM systems, especially Salesforce.
  • Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and marketing APIs.
  • Proficiency with analytics tools, attribution modeling, and marketing data visualization.
  • Experience managing platform integrations, API solutions, and marketing systems in highly regulated environments such as banking or financial services.

ESSENTIAL MENTAL & PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ability to work under stress and meet deadlines
  • Ability to lift/move/carry approximately 20 pounds if required to perform the essential job functions.  If the employee is unable to lift/move/carry this weight and can be accommodated without causing the department/division an “undue hardship” then the employee must be accommodated; hence omitting lifting/moving/carrying as a physical requirement.
