The Opportunity
This position works out of our Alameda, CA location in the Diabetes Care division where we are focused on helping people with diabetes manage their health with life-changing products that provide accurate data to drive better-informed decisions. We’re revolutionizing the way people monitor their glucose levels with our new sensing technology.
As the Manager, Market Analytics and Insights you will be responsible for providing market and competitive insights to the Diabetes Care division based on internally developed strategic forecasts and analyses, external market and analyst reports, and primary and / or secondary marketing research including social media. This person will provide direction and input to strategic marketing, commercial, and forecasting related activities that are used by senior management and corporate levels of the business. Success within this position will be achieved through the ability to understand business needs and to develop and communicate strategic insights around these needs.
What You’ll Work On

Design and execute strategic forecasts and analyses using scarce data to develop informed and insightful estimates that impact the business. Lay out well-thought-out rationale for key assumptions and inputs. Analyses based on understanding of available research and analytical techniques for both short-term needs and longer-term forecasts and assessments. Exhibit strong analytical and forecasting abilities in breaking down issues and developing solutions.

Understand market and competitor dynamics to provide expertise on data interpretation for the marketing and commercial organizations. Analyze categories and companies utilizing multiple information sources (primary and secondary data) to provide actionable business insights.

Utilize expertise in a variety of qualitative and quantitative primary market research methodologies to design appropriate research and analysis plans and execute research that answers strategic and tactical business questions

Develop executive-level presentations to communicate analyses and implications with executives across the organization.

Manage multiple global stakeholder “customers”, across time zones, in fast-moving environment to respond to ad-hoc industry analyses in addition to ongoing reporting.

Exhibit strong organizational skills that are needed to manage vendors on cost, timing, appropriateness of methodology, and actionability of conclusions.

Display a positive, solutions-based approach to all projects, and work effectively in teams.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree.
Minimum of 5-8 years experience working in market research and/or analytics and forecasting within industries such as Healthcare, Consumer Packaged Goods, Medical Devices or Pharmaceuticals or similar industries.
Experience with secondary data analytics, market research, and/or competitive intelligence, is preferred.
Significant expertise in Excel and PowerPoint.
Preferred Qualifications
Master’s degree
Experience with SPSS, Tableau, and other analytical and visualization software

$125,700.00 – $251,500.00
