As the Manager Network & Cooperations – Africa Trades, you will play a crucial role in shaping Hapag-Lloyd's network and operations in Africa. Your responsibilities will include designing and optimizing ship schedules, negotiating consortium agreements, and ensuring compliance with VSA and SCA agreements. You will collaborate closely with various teams, including TM, Regional teams, and NetEx, to strengthen our position in this dynamic market. Responsibilities- Develop and optimize proforma schedules for Africa trades and maintain accurate service data in relevant systems for efficient record-keeping.
- Prepare product studies and facilitate consortium meetings to enhance our services.
- Negotiate and participate in the development of consortium agreements, protecting Hapag-Lloyd's interests.
- Maintain long-term schedules and allocation tables, ensuring efficient resource allocation.
- Monitor schedule compliance and collaborate with Voyage Control to implement corrective measures.
- Oversee the execution of VSA and SCA agreements by partner lines, ensuring operational and financial compliance.
- Optimize internal processes within the Network & Cooperations department.
- Actively engage in department-wide processes, reporting, and IT tool enhancements.
- Bachelor or Master's degree in Maritime Operations, Maritime Business, or a relevant field.
- Excellent communication skills in English, with the ability to negotiate and collaborate effectively.
- Proactive, analytical, and structured approach to work, with a focus on problem-solving.
- Responsible, reliable, and result-oriented personality, able to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
