The Manager, Local FLEX Sales will supervise, plan, and set objectives for assigned FLEX Sales Representatives. Monitor and assess their individual performance against key performance indicators. Ensure successful management of customer relationships that drive sales growth, item and category penetration and profitability of those relationships. May also manage a significant piece of business directly. Support, develop and coach assigned staff and participate in critical sales calls as needed.Onsite in Rosemont, IL - 5 days a week
RESPONSIBILITIES
Evaluate the ongoing effectiveness of the Sales team (as well as relevant organizational systems and processes).
Monitor performance metrics to assess performance against key performance indicators and progress against annual operating plan targets.
Coordinate required training for assigned team members.
Assist assigned staff in escalating inquiries to division, region, and corporate functions as needed including market leadership, operations, replenishment, and category management.
Maintain effective communication with key stakeholder partners.
Grow profit and penetration of all accounts managed by direct reports or directly.
Other duties assigned by manager.

RELATIONSHIPS
Internal: Sales Management and Staff (VP, Sales, RSMs, TMs, Sales Coordinators; Customer Solutions Coordinator; Sr. Sales Analyst), Finance, Culinary Specialist Team, Sr. Pricing Analyst, Customer Service, Merchandising and Marketing, and other division personnel; Regional and Corporate staff.
External: Current and prospective customers, product vendors, community and industry groups
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Onsite: The associate in this role is expected to perform assigned responsibilities inside a US Foods office-based environment.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Must possess a minimum of 5 years of experience in customer-facing sales role or other relevant areas.
Minimum of 2 years as a people manager.
Previous experience and success in customer-facing roles.
Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
Organizational skills, ability to be self-motivated in an independent work environment.
Demonstrated problem solving ability, negotiation skills, and conflict resolution.
Proficient in Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint.
Working knowledge and use of collaboration and conference/presentation capabilities of Microsoft Teams.
Overnight travel may be required to participate in trainings, meetings, or other company/customer events. Anticipated not more than 10%.

Compensation depends on relevant experience and/or education, specific skills, function, geographic location, and other factors as applicable by law (for example: state or local minimum wage thresholds). The expected base rate for this role is between
