Key Purpose of the Role

The Manager, Listings role is a high-impact position focused on driving the growth of new listings by promoting the exchange as a premier venue for domestic and international companies.  The purpose is to identify, engage, and convert prospective companies into new ASX listings.  You will act as a primary point of contact for company founders, C-suite executives, and corporate advisers, guiding them through the listings value proposition and listing process.

  • Internal: Marketing, Compliance, Markets, Communications, Operations, Legal, Risk
  • External: Financial Intermediaries, Unlisted and Listed Companies, Investors

Your Responsibilities

  • Pipeline Generation: Proactively identify and prospect potential listing candidates across various sectors, domestic and international markets.
  • Brand Advocacy: Act as a key spokesperson for the ASX, enhancing brand reputation through thought leadership, public speaking, and presence at major industry conferences.
  • Ecosystem Development: Build and nurture a robust network of market participants—including venture capital and private equity firms, investment banks, law firms and institutional investors—to ensure a supportive environment for pre-IPO and newly listed companies.
  • Strategic Promotion: Execute targeted sales strategies to position the ASX against competing global exchanges, highlighting its specific listing requirements and advantages.
  • Education & Engagement: Lead initiatives that educate the market on the value of an ASX listing, strengthening the exchange’s attraction and conduct IPO workshops/roundtables for prospects.
  • Relationship Management: Build and maintain deep relationships with key market influencers to ensure a consistent referral flow for new business.
  • Voice of the Customer: Collect and synthesise feedback from prospects and advisors to influence internal product development and policy changes, ensuring the ASX Listing Rules and services remain competitive.
  • Cross-Functional CX Leadership: Collaborate with Listings Compliance and Operations to streamline the onboarding process, ensuring internal workflows support a positive and friction-free customer experience for new issuers.
  • Market Intelligence: Track industry trends and competitor activity to refine the ASX’s value proposition and inform go-to-market strategies.
  • Listed Company Services: Assist in the ongoing customer management of listed companies.

Must Have

  • Demonstrated business development, relationship management and presentation skills.
  • Strong drive to exceed growth targets and manage a complex sales pipeline.
  • Strong experience in capital markets or related area.
  • Proven ability to build and maintain senior relationships across the capital markets ecosystem and with corporate entities.
  • Experience in developing and delivering business development initiatives.
  • Understanding of the listing requirements and regulatory framework for listed companies.
  • Ability to navigate internal hierarchies and influence cross-functional teams to achieve customer-focused outcomes.
  • Tertiary qualification in finance, business, law or another relevant subject.

Nice to have

  • Experience in equity capital markets, investor relations, funds management or broking.
  • MBA or equivalent qualification.
