What you will do:
The Manager, Learning plays a pivotal role in leading the design, delivery, and governance of the Triangle Learning Academy and enterprise-wide digital and experiential learning programs. This role is accountable for delivery and managing the organization-wide learning portfolio to drive and support our high-performance culture. The Manager leads a team of learning professionals in the design, development, and implementation of digital and blended learning solutions across Canadian Tire. The incumbent for this role can be based at either the Oakville or Toronto office.
Core Responsibilities
Lead the end-to-end design and delivery of digital, experiential, and blended enterprise learning programs, including new employee onboarding experience, skill and capability-building programs, continuing education, and mandatory compliance training.
Collaborate with stakeholders and cross-functional support partners to align learning objectives with organizational goals, ensuring learning initiatives support overall business strategy.
Conduct needs assessments and consultative conversations to identify skill gaps and recommend relevant learning solutions.
Champion a culture of continuous learning, implementing engagement activities that encourage ongoing professional development among employees.
Lead the development and execution of TLA marketing and communication strategies, driving awareness and participation in learning programs.
Facilitate in-class and virtual learning experiences.
Provide strategic direction for Workday Learning configuration, integrations, and enhancements. Ensure seamless functionality across the learning ecosystem.
Utilize program evaluations to measure learning impact and make data-driven decisions and improvements to learning strategies and content.
Manage budget for learning initiatives, optimizing resource allocation to maximize impact while minimizing costs.
Develop and maintain relationships with external learning vendors and consultants, enhancing program offerings and leveraging industry best practices.
Coach team members in instructional design and adult learning principles, enhancing the overall quality of learning programs, including the use of AI to drive efficiency and productivity.
Act as cross-functional support partner in other talent development related initiatives.
What you bring:
At least 5 years of experience leading enterprise blended learning programs in a large, complex organization.
Expert-level knowledge of Learning Management Systems is a must, Workday Learning knowledge is an asset.
Prior leadership experience is required.
Demonstrated success in managing learning technology transitions and integrations (e.g., Workday Learning).
Experience working in a centralized learning function with cross-functional teams.
Strong background in instructional design, adult learning principles, and digital learning tools.
Strong relationship-building and stakeholder management skills across matrixed environments.
Exceptional communication and facilitation capabilities.
Bilingual English and French is an asset
Strategic thinking with the ability to simplify complexity and connect dots.
Strong project management and time management skills.
Analytical mindset with a passion for data-driven decision-making.
