Oversee the delivery, optimisation, and continuous improvement of our cloud platforms.
This pivotal role focuses on managing day-to-day operations, ensuring platform stability, performance, and scalability, while supporting broader cloud strategy initiatives.

Responsibilities- Manage the development, deployment, and ongoing operation of cloud platforms across the organisation.
- Ensure the reliability, performance, and cost-effectiveness of cloud infrastructure and services
- Implement and maintain best practices for cloud governance, automation, and security.
- Overseeing the performance and reliability of cloud computing systems and be responsible for maintaining and optimizing the cloud infrastructure to ensure maximum uptime and efficiency.
- Develop policies and procedures to ensure the security and confidentiality of data and provide technical expertise to the team.
- Work closely with network engineers, system administrators, and other IT staff to monitor and troubleshoot cloud systems.
- Manage vendor relationships and negotiate service level agreements. Your role will require you to stay up-to-date with the latest cloud technologies/trends and implement them to improve operations.
- Manage cloud infrastructure and applications to ensure high availability and performance.
- Monitor and troubleshoot issues that impact cloud services, including network connectivity and security.
- Collaborate with developers and other teams to design and deploy cloud solutions that meet business requirements.
- Implement and enforce security policies and procedures to protect sensitive data and prevent unauthorized access.
- Plan and execute disaster recovery procedures to minimize downtime and data loss.
- Optimize cloud costs and resources by identifying and addressing inefficiencies.
- Process Compliance :
- Ensure that operations, projects and programs are managed in line with Canon processes i.e. finance and budget rules, ‘ways of working’, and J-SOX governance.
- Quality Assurance
- Provide a project/program & operational assurance to check thatoperations/projects/changes remain viable and aligned to the IT andBusiness strategy and that suitable / acceptable solutions are developed.
-Ensure that all deliverables are measured and of the quality required – aftercare and checking
-As owner of the EMEA IT infrastructure specific domains, ensuring that allthese Infrastructure components are reliable, stable and functioning withoutdisruptions (available) according to agreed service levels, quality and in anefficient and effective way.
Qualifications- Recognised qualifications in Cloud Management, or related relevantcertification (OCI, AWS, MS Azure)
- Proven experience managing cloud operations or platformengineering in a complex IT environment.
- Strong working knowledge of AWS, Microsoft Azure, OCI, GoogleCloud.
- Have excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skillsalong with several years of experience in cloud operations.
- Stay up-to-date with emerging cloud technologies and best practicesto drive innovation and continuous improvement.
- Manage vendor relationships and contracts related to cloud services.
- Provide technical guidance and support to other IT teams as needed.
