Job Summary
The Deskside Manager is responsible for leading multiple teams at different locations in support of the installation and maintenance of technology hardware in a very fast-paced clinical environment. The manager will oversee the daily operations of teams within an assigned geography due to needing to be onsite regularly. The manager is responsible for making decisions to enable teams to complete the assigned task accurately, on time, and within budget. The position is accountable for ensuring solutions are delivered in adherence to defined standards and policy, at times it may be necessary to lead technical projects to ensure quality of work. A high level of collaboration with customers and other IT teams is expected to ensure solution designs and implementations exceed customer expectations.

Key Responsibilities
- Manages overall work performed by the Desk Side team during their assigned shifts
- Assists in setting team performance expectations and clearly communicating these goals
- Supports a culture of quality and accountability by ensuring the team follows documented procedures and standards
- Manages/mentors team performance and efficiency and makes recommendations for process improvements as needed
- Make staffing adjustments to ensure each team has the resources needed to complete assignments
- Manage and approve staff expenses and time
- Facilitates project and team meetings effectively
- Ensures team processes are documented, and followed consistently
- Tracks and reports team SLA’s to stakeholders and senior management
- Provide training and mentoring on technologies to peers and colleagues
Skills and Experience
- Provide in-depth knowledge of IT fundamentals including operating systems and Active Directory, as well as a deep understanding of IT specialties such as user/workstation provisioning.
- Must possess the ability to create and follow technical documents and work instructions.
- Ability to work well with people from different disciplines with varying degrees of technical experience.
- Must possess excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Ability to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
- Should possess a strong understanding of the customer’s goals and objectives.
- Must keep up to date with technology as it develops and inform their clients of the potential impact.
- Must be highly motivated with a strong attention to detail.
- Ability to communicate effectively verbally and written with all levels of customers.
- Understanding of patient care environment and privacy practices.
- Capable of training others and adjusting as situations change.
- Be a forward thinker and proactive decision-maker.
Minimum Years of Experience
- BA/BS and 5 years of experience in Information and Technology
- 3 years of experience in a leadership role
