Manager, IT - I&O Change and Configuration Management

What's on the Menu:
This role is for the Infrastructure Change and Configuration Management team. The IT Change and Configuration Manager is responsible for overseeing the processes that ensure IT changes are implemented efficiently, securely, and with minimal disruption to operations. This role will manage the evaluation, approval, and execution of changes to IT systems, applications, and infrastructure, ensuring alignment with organizational policies and business goals. Additionally, they will oversee configuration management, maintaining accurate records of IT assets, systems, and dependencies to support effective planning, troubleshooting, and compliance.
The Main Ingredients:

  • Troubleshoot various application and infrastructure issues including Business process related concerns
  • Strong leadership, collaboration with cross-functional teams
  • A focus on risk management and continuous improvement
  • Change Request evaluation
  • Change Implementation planning and prioritization
  • Post Change Implementation review
  • Configuration identification, control and tracking
  • Baseline management, audit, verification and version control
  • Integration with Service Management
  • Stakeholder coordination
  • Compliance and security
  • Process standardization
  • Enhancements and automation

Experience and Knowledge:

  • Self-starter with high levels of drive, energy, resilience and a desire for professional excellence
  • Extensive direct experience managing people and processes across large, complex teams - leading across geographically and culturally diverse locations
  • Demonstrated understanding of and influencing of business and IT strategy
  • An ability to work effectively in a matrix organization is essential
  • Previous experience working in Change and Configuration management


Skills:

  • Experience in ServiceNow specific to CMDB
  • Deep and creative problem solving
  • Experience implementing a CMDB or Change Management environment
  • Strong leadership and high sense of accountability
  • The ability to work in a management capacity and a level of understanding of technical infrastructure
  • Strong administration, reporting, financial, and organisational skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
