The Investment Team
APM Terminals Investments team is responsible for portfolio investment transactions and executing on APMT’s Growth and portfolio strategy (greenfield projects/tenders, expansions, acquisitions, mergers etc.). This position will support by helping secure new investment and divestment projects through analyzing the industry and market segments, developing various business cases for large scale portfolio transactions.
Principal Accountabilities

Assist in the execution of M&A and large scale public tenders for port infrastructure projects

Prepare business case and support in preparing materials for negotiations
-
Prepare materials for and help drive the internal approval process for investment and divestment projects

Analyze and compile industry and competitor information for senior management. Drives specific sector, industry, and trade reviews

Contributes to, and where appropriate, drive the development of solutions to customer specific projects and/or tender requirements

Assists in managing / reporting on the Project/Opportunity Pipeline.
We are looking for
Qualification and background

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in finance and business administration (or MBA) is an advantage
-
Consistent experience within the job scope, at least 3-5 years increasing responsibility in strategy, M&A and/or Corporate/Business Development.

Experience with the port and shipping market is an advantage
Skills and experience

Strong (corporate) finance skills including experience and knowledge of valuation, modelling, synergy quantification, risk and upside evaluation

Project Management skills; well-organized, timely, and persistent

Good understanding and hands-on experience with M&A processes and preparing for due diligence.

Strong analytical mind and ability to solve problems and overcome business and legal constraints

Drive, intellectual curiosity and interest in taking on new tasks

Strong interpersonal and communication skills (both verbal and written). Possess empathy, personal tact, and multi-cultural understanding

Ability to handle sensitive information to maintain strict confidentiality
-
English fluency written and spoken, other languages (preferably with focus on emerging markets) and international work experience are beneficial
