About your team :
The Global Communications function plays a critical role in shaping and delivering Fidelity’s reputation and strategy. We provide communications leadership across internal and external audiences, ensuring alignment, engagement, and impact.
This role sits within the corporate communication team in Germany, a team dedicated to delivering high impact communications to support the development of our business in Germany, one of our priority markets in EMEA. This role will report into the Associate Director in charge of corporate communications for Germany.
About your role :
Please note that this is an individual contributor role and not a people leadership role.
In this role, you will be primarily responsible for internal communications in Germany. You will work with the team to create engaging employee communication using a variety of different formats. You will engage directly with our key stakeholders. Tasks will include:
- Working collaboratively with communication colleagues in Germany and globally on local and global communication campaigns
- Drafting compelling internal communications such as internal emails, articles for our internal website, blog posts for the intranet, and newsletters to inform and inspire colleagues
- Exploring new dynamic formats, including video, to boost employee engagement
- Using your creativity to develop innovative content that truly captures attention
- Coordinating and supporting internal events, such as town halls as well as media events as needed
- Managing and promoting corporate social responsibility (CSR)
- Handling essential administrative tasks, including maintaining up-to-date distribution lists, tracking and reporting, and overseeing invoicing procedures
- Initiating and managing internal campaigns to boost our local community and culture in the office.
We are seeking a skilled communicator who is proactive, flexible, and thrives in both local and global team environments. The ideal candidate demonstrates creativity, a strong desire to learn, and a genuine interest in the financial services sector. This role also requires meticulous attention to detail and solid foundational technical skills.
About you :
- Degree with a focus on journalism, public relations, linguistics, communication, business administration or comparable qualification
- At least 3 years of relevant professional experience in a communications agency, a corporate communications department or in journalism
- Strong storytelling, writing, and editing skills—capable of creating clear and engaging texts on complex and technical topics
- Digital savvy with social media platforms and video formats
- Strong analytical skills, entrepreneurial thinking and independent working style
- Excellent/very strong German and English writing skills
