The Cloud Architect and Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, securing, automating and optimizing the Bank's hybrid cloud environment to support mission-critical business services. The role focuses on technical excellence in cloud architecture, engineering, automation, security, governance, migration and operational resilience without direct people management responsibilities

Responsibilities

1. Cloud Strategy & Architecture 

  • Design scalable, resilient and secure cloud architectures. 
  • Develop reference architectures, landing zones and design standards. 
  • Evaluate cloud services and recommend technology improvements. 

2. Cloud Engineering 

  • Implement Infrastructure as Code (Terraform/CloudFormation/Bicep). 
  • Automate provisioning, configuration and lifecycle management. 
  • Build CI/CD-enabled cloud platforms. 

3. Cloud Migration 

  • Assess application readiness and execute migration strategies. 
  • Support rehost, replatform and refactor initiatives. 
  • Validate migration success and performance. 

4. Cloud Security 

  • Implement IAM, encryption, network security and Zero Trust. 
  • Support vulnerability remediation and compliance. 

5. Cloud Operations 

  • Monitor production cloud platforms and optimize availability. 
  • Perform capacity, incident and problem management. 

6. Governance & Compliance 

  • Ensure compliance with enterprise policies and regulatory requirements. 
  • Maintain cloud documentation and standards. 

7. Reliability & Resilience 

  • Design HA/DR solutions and conduct resilience testing. 

8. FinOps 

  • Monitor cloud cost and recommend optimization initiatives. 

9. Collaboration 

  • Provide technical consultation to project, application, network, security and infrastructure teams. 
Qualifications

Education: Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering or related field. 

Preferred Certifications: 

  • AWS Solutions Architect Professional 
  • Azure Solutions Architect 
  • Google Professional Cloud Architect 
  • Terraform Associate 
  • CKA 
  • CCSP/CISSP 
  • TOGAF 
  • ITIL 

 

Experience 

  • Minimum 6-8 years in IT infrastructure. 
  • Minimum 4 years in cloud engineering/architecture. 
  • Experience with enterprise cloud migration and automation. 
  • Experience in regulated or financial industry is an advantage. 

Skills Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or related field
  • Minimum 6-8 years in IT infrastructure
  • Minimum 4 years in cloud engineering or architecture
  • Experience with enterprise cloud migration and automation
