Position Summary
The Infrastructure Specialist – Data & Cloud Platforms will Own the design, automation, and operational support of cloud infrastructure and data platforms, ensuring scalable, secure, and highly available environments that support enterprise data and analytics workloads
Partner closely with Infrastructure and DBA teams to execute SQL Server upgrades, migrations, patching, and monitoring, while proactively managing performance at the server, database, and query levels to maintain platform stability and reliability
Ensure solutions meet performance, security, compliance, and operational readiness standards, minimizing business disruption through disciplined change management, testing, and ongoing monitoring
Required Qualifications
4 or more years of experience designing, building, or maintaining ETL or data pipelines (batch or streaming) used for analytics, reporting, or data integration.
5 or more years working with SQL Server or another enterprise relational database, including complex SQL and/or ETL integration.
4 or more years supporting cloud‑enabled data or analytics platforms, using AWS, Azure, or GCP services (e.g., cloud storage, compute, managed databases, or data pipelines).
5 or more years as an individual contributor supporting production data or analytics solutions used by business stakeholders, with responsibility for reliability, data quality, and delivery.
Preferred Qualifications
Design and automate cloud infrastructure and data platform deployments, ensuring highly available, scalable, and secure environments supporting enterprise data and analytics workloads
Develop and maintain automation and ETL support scripts used for data movement, operational monitoring, validation, and platform maintenance (not analyst‑driven reporting)
Optimize system reliability through load balancing, network tuning, capacity planning, and proactive monitoring across compute, storage, and data platforms
Conduct end-to-end cloud system testing to validate performance, security controls, resilience, and regulatory compliance prior to production releases
Partner closely with Infrastructure and DBA teams to plan and execute SQL Server upgrades, migrations, patching, and platform monitoring across non‑production and production environments
Ensure proactive performance management at the server, database, and query levels by identifying bottlenecks, tuning workloads, and validating configuration standards.
Support enterprise availability and resilience goals by participating in maintenance planning, release coordination, and incident response activities
Minimize business disruption through disciplined change control, deployment validation, rollback planning, and post‑implementation review
Demonstrated ability to independently own and solve complex problems, quickly learn new technologies, and drive outcomes as an individual contributor without direct people management
Solid understanding of enterprise data, data flows, and how analytics and reporting support operational processes and business decision‑making
Proven ability to translate business requirements into well‑designed, scalable technical solutions, managing deliverables, timelines, and quality with limited oversight
Ability to provide informal technical guidance, share best practices, and support peer development without formal supervisory responsibility
Hands‑on experience building AI-Ready data solutions support analytics, reporting, documentation, or workflow automation in an enterprise environment
Experience designing and delivering data visualizations and dashboards using Tableau and/or Power BI, with an emphasis on usability, clarity, and executive‑level storytelling
Experience working with healthcare data domains (e.g., claims, pharmacy, clinical, provider, or operational data), including familiarity with data quality considerations and regulatory sensitivity
Education
Bachelor's degree in data analytics, computer science or equivalent experience required

The typical pay range for this role is:
$60,300.00 - $132,600.00This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
