The Opportunity:

The Manager, Industry Services, leads Velera’s adherence to industry processes across two Associations and 20+ Networks to ensure compliance with rules, regulations, and mandates. This position serves as owner of operational relationship with Associations and all Networks; represents the entire organization.

Day in the Life:

  • Provides operational ownership with primary vendors FIS and FiServ.

  • Leads and facilitates complex Industry changes that require coordination, collaboration and support across Velera that have revenue opportunity, expense mitigation, liability change, etc.

  • Serves as single “Voice of Velera” for Industry rules interpretation, business guidance and communication for all Velera colleagues and external clients.

  • Owns monthly Velera steering committee bulletin review function to identify owner of the change, internal/external communication and oversees follow up to ensure action is executed.

  • Oversees review of approximately 75 bulletins per month that need to be assessed for impact to Velera and Velera clients.

  • Provides oversight of Association and Network fees changes, billing changes, quarterly reporting and ATM audits across the organization.

  • Resolves compliance violations by providing internal/external escalation support with applicable parties.

  • Maintains a working knowledge and understanding of applicable ETF related federal regulations, Reg Z, Reg E, CUNA requirements, etc. 

  • Provides leadership and guidance to team; facilitates employee development and performance management. 

  • Tracks and monitors employee satisfaction, communication, training, and leadership.

  • Leads Industry Services support the organization; promotes advocacy, exceeds expectations and drives team deliverables.

  • Pro-actively pursues management development opportunities and displays expected progress.

  • Oversee all learning and development plans that assist with increasing the depth of capabilities within the Industry Services organization.

  • Responsible for reporting risks that are identified to the appropriate team and/or management.

  • Additionally, responsible for managing, monitoring, and reporting risks within the scope of your work area, to include, but not limited to Information Security risks.

  • Provide direction and leadership to staff; guide, coach, mentor and develop staff ensuring compliance with processes and procedures

  • Handle interviewing, hiring, promotions, transfers, performance appraisals, compensation, counseling, and termination of staff

  • Develop and maintain staff by applying the necessary training and leadership that will allow internal growth and advancement

  • Direct staff, to ensure that all duties are performed according to department performance standards

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance or related field, or equivalent training and/or experience.

  • Five years related industry experience required.

  • Expert level knowledge of Visa & MasterCard bulletins & updates.

  • Prior management experience.

Pay Equity

$93,400.00 - $119,100.00

Actual Pay will be adjusted based on experience and other job-related factors permitted by law.
