SUMMARY

The Manager, Industrial Engineering (Manager, IE) is responsible for leading the Industrial Engineering function to drive continuous improvement in productivity, cost efficiency, and manufacturing processes across the organization. This role focuses on optimizing resource utilization, implementing lean manufacturing principles, and establishing standard times to achieve operational excellence.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES AND ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Develop, implement, and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs), standard times, and line balancing to maximize production efficiency.
  • Conduct time and motion studies, value stream mapping, and workflow analysis to identify and eliminate waste.
  • Lead cost reduction initiatives through process optimization, material utilization improvement, and labor efficiency projects.
  • Design and optimize factory layout, material flow, and logistics to reduce handling and improve space utilization.
  • Collaborate with production, planning, and quality departments to resolve manufacturing bottlenecks and improve overall equipment effectiveness (OEE).
  • Participate in new product introduction (NPI) projects to ensure manufacturability and establish target costs.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in Industrial Engineering within a manufacturing environment, with at least 3 years in a managerial role.
  • Proven track record of successfully leading lean manufacturing and continuous improvement projects and Provide a specific factual project report.

EDUCATION & SKILLS

  • Bachelor's degree or above in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of lean manufacturing principles (e.g., 5S, Kaizen, TPM, Value Stream Mapping).
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
  • Proficiency in IE methodologies and time study techniques.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

  • None required. Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification is preferred.

COMPUTER/TECHNICAL SKILLS

  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel for data analysis.
  • Experience with AutoCAD for facility layout planning.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., SAP) is required.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • When carrying out this task, we need to stand or sit up, have flexible hands and feet, and have normal listening and speaking ability.
  • The ability of color judgment is needed. The color blind and the weak are not suitable for this work.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

  • General factory working environment.
  • There may be business trips around Jiangxi Province, Guangdong Province, ,Hongkong, Shanghai and the surrounding areas.
