The Manager, Indirect Taxes provides indirect tax advisory and compliance oversight. They also support business partnering in various countries, focusing mainly on EMEA and APAC. This role works closely with Finance, Product, Engineering, Legal and other interested parties to ensure indirect tax obligations are appropriately reflected in business operations, systems and processes.  

Along with supporting daily tax tasks, this position advances digital tax systems, process automation, and AI capabilities. These efforts improve efficiency, scalability, compliance, and risk management throughout the organisation. 

• Provide timely and practical indirect tax mentorship to business collaborators, supporting day-to-day operations, business initiatives, and decision-making across EMEA and APAC.

• Support the review and implementation of business and intercompany transactions, ensuring indirect tax considerations are appropriately addressed across multiple jurisdictions.

• Support with indirect tax compliance and reporting activities, helping to ensure accurate filings, strong controls, and adherence to regulatory requirements.

• Monitor legislative and regulatory developments, assess potential impacts, and support the implementation of required business, process, and system changes.

• Partner with Finance, Product, Engineering, and other collaborators to improve tax processes, reporting capabilities, and ERP controls, including SAP-related indirect tax requirements.

• Contribute to the development and implementation of tax technology, automation, and AI-enabled solutions that improve compliance, reporting, risk management, and operational efficiency.

• See opportunities to bring to bear Generative AI, automation, data analytics, and new technologies to simplify tax processes and reduce manual effort.

• Support indirect tax audits, regulatory inquiries, and cross-functional projects while driving continuous improvements in tax governance, compliance, and operational efficiency.

• 6+ years of experience in international indirect tax, with solid understanding of VAT/GST and other consumption taxes in various countries.

• Experience handling indirect tax concerns within a multinational organization, ideally across EMEA and/or APAC.

• Ability to assess and interpret complex tax legislation and translate requirements into practical business, process, and technology solutions.

• Experience demonstrating tax technology, ERP systems, reporting platforms, automation tools, and data analytics; exposure at a practical level to AI-enabled tax solutions or Generative AI is a plus.

• Experience supporting indirect tax audits and interacting with tax authorities, external advisors, and other collaborators.

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and project management skills, with the ability to explain complex tax concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.

• Validated ability to collaborate optimally across financial, product development, technical, legal, compliance, and tax groups in a fast-paced, evolving environment.

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Tax, Accounting, Finance, Law, or a related field; professional tax qualification and experience with SAP or other ERP platforms are advantageous. English proficiency required.
