The Manager, Indirect Procurement is responsible for developing and executing sourcing strategies across key product categories, managing supplier relationships, and driving cost optimization for Restaurant Brands International (RBI) across multiple regions. This role plays a vital role in managing procurement projects for Burger King, Tim Hortons, Popeyes, and Firehouse Subs, ensuring alignment with corporate goals, improving Cost of Goods Sold (COGS), and supporting new market entries. The position works closely with internal stakeholders and franchisees to facilitate innovation, improve supplier performance, and ensure sustainable practices.
Key Responsibilities
Sourcing & Strategy:
- Develop and execute sourcing strategies for food, packaging, and capital expenditures (CAPEX).
- Conduct tenders, lead supplier negotiations, and implement cost-saving initiatives to improve profitability.
- Analyze market trends and data to inform sourcing decisions and create cost models.
Supplier Management:
- Build and maintain strong supplier relationships to enhance cost, service, and innovation performance.
- Manage supplier onboarding and quarterly cost reviews within RBI’s system.
- Support franchisees in setting up supply chains for new market entries, ensuring timely product preparation.
Cross-functional Collaboration:
- Work with Marketing, Operations, Quality Assurance, and Supply Chain teams to align procurement plans with business objectives.
- Act as a procurement lead in cross-functional meetings, providing insights and recommendations.
Process Improvement & Sustainability:
- Drive process improvements within procurement to streamline operations and reduce costs.
- Ensure compliance with corporate sustainability commitments and industry regulations.
Reporting & Analysis:
- Provide in-depth analytical support for procurement initiatives.
- Maintain accurate spend data systems to identify cost-saving opportunities and track supplier performance.
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Supply Chain, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of professional experience in procurement, supply chain, or related functions.
- Strong analytical skills with experience in data analysis and financial modeling.
- Proven ability to lead sourcing initiatives and manage complex supplier negotiations.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and stakeholder management skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint); SAP experience is a plus.
- Preferred experience in Quick Service Restaurants (QSR), food and beverage, or retail industries.
