POSITION PROFILE
The Solutions Portfolio Manager is an individual contributor responsible for decisioning, commercialization readiness, growth and execution across a portfolio segment of B2B software products and services. You lead execution across a matrixed organization, Sales, Operations/Delivery, Product, Finance, Enablement, and Support to ensure offerings are ready to transact, sell, service, and support covering a mix of Subscription software products or Business Process Services primarily in a mature or growth stage. built internally or resold from 3rd party partners.
The Solutions Portfolio Manager will manage a Portfolio of Document Management and Document Intelligence (Intelligent Document Processing) offerings
Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Drive sub-portfolio assigned segment; planning, governance recommendations, and lifecycle decisions (refresh, EOL, build/buy/partner).
- Oversee sub-portfolio performance analysis and reporting, measure financial outcomes, implement risk mitigation strategies, and drive corrective actions
- Accountable for execution, managing risks, and escalating issues early to protect launch dates and performance outcomes.
- Conduct MBRs and QBRs to ensure sub-portfolio transparency and financial alignment
- Gather voice of the customer feedback to inform portfolio decision making
- Advocate for portfolio services and solutions (internal and customer facing)
- Own business cases and portfolio prioritization for sub-portfolio
- Produce decision-ready inputs for stage gates and leadership reviews: readiness evidence, risks/issues, dependencies, and cost-to-serve impacts.
- Own readiness checklists and follow-through across transact/sell/service/support: ordering/provisioning prerequisites, pricing/packaging guardrails, onboarding flows, SLAs, enablement, and support handoffs.
- Cross‑Functional Alignment Across Matrixed Organization: Ensure Design, Operations, Sales, and Marketing are aligned to quarterly priorities and OKRs.
Expected outcomes (12 months)
- Drive Business Outcomes, Not Just Activity: Own the work through business planning and execution, measurable progress and concrete results; not just coordination, reporting, or process management.
- Segment revenue: Manage up to $150M portfolio of products and services.
- Financial Analysis: Monthly portfolio performance analysis and outcome tracking with risk mitigation strategies and corrective actions.
- Portfolio Growth: Increase YOY sub‑portfolio segment revenue annually.
- Margin Improvement: Implement programs that deliver gross‑margin improvement initiatives through packaging and cost optimization.
- Support Strategic Initiatives: Implement strategic initiatives through analysis, decision making, and execution processes, with minimal rework.
- OKR completion: ≥98% on-time completion.
- Operating cadence compliance: ≥98% on-time completion of planning, QBRs, and OKR cycles. Run operating cadence (MBRs/QBRs) with performance transparency; drive corrective actions across portfolio assigned segment financials and serviceability.
- Commercialization readiness: 100% of launches meet transact/sell/service/support readiness gates; measurable reduction in post-launch readiness defects/escalations.
QUALIFICATIONS (Education, Experience, and Certifications)
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required
- 5+ years with demonstrated ownership of a P&L or revenue-bearing portfolio, including direct responsibility for commercial outcomes (pricing, packaging, lifecycle, GTM)
- Track record of growing a portfolio of products or services at or above market CAGR for 2+ consecutive years, with quantifiable revenue or margin impact
- Experience managing prioritization trade-offs across a multi-product or multi-offering portfolio under resource constraints.
- Demonstrated ability to build a business case and ROI model with quantifiable performance results that meet or exceed projections
- Experience with Document Management and/or Document Intelligence (Intelligent Document Processing) offerings is a plus
KNOWLEDGE, Skills And Abilities
- Strong cross-functional execution leadership and stakeholder management in matrixed environments
- Commercialization readiness fundamentals (onboarding flows, SLAs, enablement, support handoffs)
- Analytical rigor: KPI definition, dashboarding discipline, structured problem-solving
- Clear written and verbal communication; ability to make work decision-ready for governance forums
- Deep understanding of portfolio prioritization frameworks, stakeholder dynamics, and investment logic
- Pragmatic (Foundational preferred), Agile/Product Marketing fundamentals; strong fluency in Excel and standard BI/CRM reporting.
- Experience using Aha or similar product management tools.
