Job Summary

Provide advice and assistance to all Transocean Personnel in all Health, Safety and Environment and sustainability related aspects of the company’s management systems and operations. Support and advise HSE and Sustainability personnel within assigned region. Ability to represent departmental interests in internal and external forums. Ability to work autonomously and represent Transocean’s interests in HSE and Sustainability related events and program.

Job Description

KEY ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Act as Subject Matter Expert (SME) for the HSE Management System and provide input to documentation, as required.

• Provide support to HSE Leads and oversight relating to all Corporate HSE Alerts, Advisories & Bulletins in assigned region.

• Act as SME providing input to develop and maintain HSE and sustainability related training as required and facilitate workshops when requested.

• Provides HSES support to company functions in region.

• Provide support and guidance to assigned team in region related to internal and external audits, regulatory compliance, and medical support as required.

• Provide HSE support to Operations in meetings with customers, regulators and executive management as required.

• Research and distribute HSE information initiatives for awareness by liaising and participating with external groups.

• Provide input and support for HSE related IT applications and initiatives as required by liaising and participating with external groups.

• Act as authority contact.

• Supports the development and implementation of HSE and sustainability initiatives and programs to promote HSE performance and sustainability strategy.

Education:

• Minimum Required: Bachelor’s degree in related studies.
• Preferred Level: Master’s degree

Experience:

• Minimum Required: 5+ years’ experience in the drilling industry. 5+ years’ experience within either HSE, Technical, Engineering, Quality or Asset Management Groups. Ability to study and conduct self-training.
• Preferred Level: Managerial experience.

Skills:

• Minimum Required: Must have the ability to motivate and manage personnel. Must have a broad understanding of, applicable regulations, standards, codes, conventions and codes of practice. Fluent in English language, both written and verbal. Internal qualifications in accordance with Transocean Training Matrix.
