The Role

Job Description:

Provide direct supervision for hosting operations client facing break/fix day to day and short term operations, strategy, and objectives.

  • Client engagement and management for day-to-day operations, support, and escalation management.
  • Develop and implement Hosting Services policies and best practice guides for the organization.
  • Identify and act on opportunities to improve and update software, systems, and processes that have immediate or short-term tactical results.
  • Design training programs and workshops for staff.
  • Conduct regular team audits for process, security, and client service quality compliance.
  • Prepare KPI operational reports and performance metrics.
  • Oversee timeframes for major hosting projects including system updates, upgrades, migrations and outages.
  • Provide direction for Hosting Services team members.
  • Develop and sustain understanding of broader organizational objectives, and collaboration with management and/or other teams to achieve results.
  • Perform other duties that support the overall objective of the position.

Education Required:    

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related discipline.
  • Or, any combination of education and experience which would provide the required qualifications for the position.


Experience Required:

  • 6+ years of demonstrated IT technical and/or hosting industry experience.
  • Technical experience with architecting, building, installing, configuring and maintaining (patching and upgrading) large-scale, highly available production systems.

License/Certification Required:

  • AWS Certified (Cloud Practitioner, Technical Essentials, or SysOps Admin), ITIL Foundation Certified, Prosci Change Management Practioner are a plus.


Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Knowledge of: Strong understanding of the organization's goals and objectives. Knowledge of applicable data privacy practices and laws. Network security concepts with application knowledge of various enterprise security point technologies, managed security services; application architecture design and principle.
  • Skill in: Working as member of a team; communicating effectively; establishing and maintaining effective working relationships; presentation with high degree of comfort speaking with large and small group audiences.
  • Ability to: Demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving skills; multi-task projects and work independently in a fast-paced environment; demonstrate excellent organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize workload, meet deadlines, and multi-task while maintaining attention to detail.
