KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Lead and provide oversight to all card stakeholders in operationalization of new and emerging card scheme requirements within KCB Kenya and Subsidiaries as well as in emerging markets where the bank shall expand card business.
2. Lead investigations for suspected non-compliance to card scheme regulation and restore compliance where applicable.
3. Contact person for Card Payment partners (Visa, MasterCard and UPI) on all matters card compliance including provision of timely updates to card scheme global compliance team during an investigation
4. Cost Management including responding to cases raised by Card Schemes to avert penalties associated with non-compliance by ensuring timely closure and review of Card scheme invoices to advise card business on best practices to reduce costs
5. Bank representative in regular operational risk/Compliance review meetings organized by the card schemes representatives and provide an update on banks position in managing compliance risks
6. Champion projects/ changes in implementation of scheme rules and mandates including embedding of PCIDSS (Payment Card Institute Data Security Standards) in Bank systems as guided by the scheme rules
7. Tracking and oversight on closure of audit issues in liaison with affected KCB card business units.
8. Liaison with KCB Card Business teams to advise and assure on contracted Payment Service Providers (PSPs) compliance with Card Scheme requirements.
9. Responsible for process standardization on Card Compliance across the group including reviewing Card changes related to mandates at Pre-CAB.
10. Review and ensure accuracy of Card schemes MIS reporting and continuous operationalization of new and emerging card reporting standards.
