ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY:

Hiring Range: $115-140k

The Government Programs Manager is an individual contributor position with no direct personnel responsibilities that is responsible for overall contract management, project management and service delivery for a federal and/or state government contract.  This includes, but is not limited to customer engagement, customer satisfaction, contract management, financial management and financial results, etc.  This position is responsible for the management of the full range of project life cycle, which includes but may not be limited to Project Initiation, Project Planning, Project Execution, Projection closeout, and all Project Management related tasks from contract start to contract end. In addition, the position may be responsible for assisting with sales efforts focused on acquiring new client opportunities, and/or retaining existing contracts that have reached the re-procurement stage.

Key Responsibilities to include:

Relationships and Collaboration

  • Build relational internal and external network within contract/assigned accounts

  • Leads cross functional implementation teams

  • Leads cross functional operational teams

  • Mentor and train other Government Programs staff and operational staff assigned to government contract as needed and as applicable

Solution Delivery and Client Satisfaction

  • Develops implementation strategy, plan and resource requirements for new accounts or projects

  • Establishes metrics, process flow, roles & responsibilities, timelines, budgets, Standard Operating Procedures, and requirements for project go-live

  • Identifies opportunities for increased efficiencies to processes, systems and tools used in delivering client services

  • Supports, and where applicable, leads compliance reviews and takes initiative for recommendation and action to mitigate risks

  • Review and input to reporting and analytics for assigned accounts

  • Leverage analytics to identify efficiency opportunities, mitigate potential risks or issues, monitor service delivery activity, and provide status reports

  • Has accountability for resolution of complex or escalated invoicing issues with client

Team Collaboration

  • Works closely with operational, audit and clinical teams to ensure maximum efficiency and effective management of government contract. This may include the assignment and supervision of tasks, timelines, etc., without the ability to own the personnel reporting relationship. Therefore, the successful candidate must be able to work cooperatively and collaboratively with peers and members of applicable leadership to ensure the success of the applicable contract, without again owning personnel responsibilities.

  • Provides coaching, feedback and holds accountability for results and behaviors, and serves as positive role model and leads by example in alignment with company mission, vision, and values

Internal Business Process Improvement

  • Participate in developing a program management process based on project and client services best business practices and procedures

Continuous Improvement:

  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency gains within the audit function.

  • Implement best practices and innovative approaches to enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of audit processes.

  • Support and foster a culture of continuous learning and development within the audit teams.

  • Supports the continuous development of innovative solutions and concepts across all possible claim categories and claim types utilizing all available proprietary software, business intelligence, reports, and engineering resources. Works to optimize audit processes and efficiencies.

  • Continually work to improve efficiency, and productivity and reduce operational costs while providing 100% compliance with customer contracts and company policies

  • Effectively work with clients, customers, and partners to accurately assess needs, provide information or assistance, resolve problems, or satisfy requirements.

Required and Preferred Qualifications:

  • Minimum 3-years’ experience supporting and leading operational audit related tasks associated with Medicare Recovery Audit Contracts, Medicaid Recovery Audit Contracts, OR, commercial healthcare related recovery audit contracts

  • Minimum 8-10 years senior professional level experience in corporate or healthcare management environment, including experience working with Government clients.

  • Minimum 5-7 years of experience in corporate or healthcare management environment with direct management responsibility for teams of 5 or more.

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience leading and directing large cross functional project teams.

  • Bachelor’s degree desired, but not required, in business, finance, management, or related field. High School Diploma or GED is required.

  • Certified Project Management Professional (PMP), Medical Coder, Registered Nurse (RN), healthcare management or other medical field degree or certification for healthcare account focused positions desired, but not required.
