WHAT IS YOUR ROLE

As the Global Payroll Manager, you will lead the payroll operations across multiple countries, including but not limited to, Philippines, Mexico, USA, Canada and South Africa. You will ensure accurate, compliant, and timely payroll processing while optimizing payroll systems and collaborating with cross-functional teams. This role requires a strong understanding of global payroll regulations, vendor management, and process improvements to enhance efficiency and employee experience. Additionally, you will provide leadership to a team of payroll professionals, fostering a culture of excellence, development, and accountability.

WHAT WILL YOU DO

  • Oversee end-to-end payroll processing for employees across multiple countries, ensuring compliance with local labor laws, tax regulations, and company policies.
  • Manage and mentor payroll team members, providing guidance, support, and professional development opportunities.
  • Lead and oversee monthly payroll processing, ensuring all transactions are completed accurately and on time.
  • Partner with internal and external stakeholders to maintain accurate payroll data, resolve discrepancies, and implement best practices.
  • Lead payroll audits and reconciliations, ensuring accurate reporting and compliance with internal controls.
  • Manage relationships with third-party payroll vendors, optimizing service agreements and ensuring SLAs are met.
  • Drive process improvements, automation, and system enhancements to streamline payroll operations.
  • Provide strategic input to optimize payroll operations, reduce costs, and enhance overall efficiency
  • Manage tax filings, including payroll tax submissions, employer contributions, and statutory reporting requirements in each country.
  • Support internal stakeholders in executing any pay-related changes.
  • Provide expert guidance on payroll-related matters, addressing employee inquiries and ensuring a seamless payroll experience.
  • Stay current on global payroll regulations, labor laws, and compliance requirements to mitigate risks.
  • Develop and implement standard operating procedures and payroll policies for global consistency.
  • Ensuring payroll data security and compliance with global data protection regulations.
  • Collaborate with HR, Finance, and Legal teams to ensure payroll processes align with organizational goals and compliance requirements.
Requirements

YOU HAVE…

  • 5+ years of experience in payroll operations, with at least 3 years in a managerial role overseeing multi-country payroll.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, HR, or a related field. 
  • CPP (Certified Payroll Professional) or similar payroll certification is a plus.
  • Strong knowledge of multi-country payroll regulations, tax compliance, and labor laws, particularly in the Philippines, Mexico, USA, Canada and South Africa.
  • Experience with payroll systems (e.g. SimplePay, Workday, Payspace, Sprout, ADP, Deel, Gusto, Advans or other Payroll/HRIS software) and a strong understanding of payroll accounting principles.
  • Prior experience working with or as an outsourced payroll provider is a plus.
  • Experience with payroll automation, system implementations, and optimizing workflows for efficiency.
  • Proven ability to lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing payroll team, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to analyze payroll data, identify discrepancies, and implement solutions.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in the use of Google Suite and/or MS Office.
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and capable of managing multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Ability to adapt to a dynamic and fast-paced work environment.
