Labcorp is seeking a hybrid Manager, Global Logistics Sourcing, to join our team in Burlington, NC or Indianapolis, Indiana.

As a global leader in diagnostic testing and drug development, this Labcorp Manager, Global Logistics Sourcing drives sourcing excellence across transportation, freight, distribution, warehousing, courier, and other logistics-related services. This is an exceptional opportunity for a strategic sourcing professional who understands the importance of reliability, compliance, risk management, and operational excellence in highly regulated environments.

Work Schedule

This is a full‑time, exempt (salaried) position assigned to a schedule, with standard business hours from Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. in your time zone. This schedule includes a minimum of three in-office days per week in Burlington, NC (Wednesdays are mandatory in Burlington, NC) or Indianapolis, IN supporting both collaboration and flexibility

Business needs may occasionally require flexibility in work hours, including earlier, later, or additional hours, with reasonable notice provided when possible.

Job Responsibilities

Strategic Logistics & Transportation Sourcing

  • Lead sourcing initiatives for logistics, transportation, freight, parcel, courier, warehousing, distribution, 3PL, and related supply chain services
  • Develop and execute sourcing strategies that support service excellence, transportation efficiency, supplier performance, compliance, and total cost optimization
  • Lead competitive sourcing events, RFQs, RFPs, supplier negotiations, and contracting activities
  • Evaluate transportation providers, logistics partners, and suppliers based on service capabilities, risk profile, performance, pricing, and regulatory requirements
  • Drive supplier selection decisions that balance cost, quality, service levels, compliance, and business continuity

Supplier Relationship Management

  • Build and manage strategic relationships with transportation providers, logistics partners, freight carriers, courier services, and warehouse operators
  • Conduct supplier performance reviews and identify opportunities to improve service, reduce costs, and enhance operational reliability
  • Monitor supplier compliance with contractual obligations, regulatory requirements, service level agreements (SLAs), and performance metrics
  • Resolve supplier performance issues while fostering collaborative and productive long-term partnerships

Risk Management & Compliance

  • Support supply continuity strategies and transportation risk mitigation initiatives
  • Partner with stakeholders to identify logistics vulnerabilities and develop contingency plans
  • Ensure sourcing activities align with procurement policies, governance requirements, and applicable regulatory expectations
  • Support audits, compliance reviews, supplier assessments, and documentation requirements within a regulated operating environment

Analytics & Continuous Improvement

  • Analyze spend, carrier performance, transportation costs, and supplier data to identify sourcing opportunities and operational improvements
  • Leverage market intelligence and industry trends to support sourcing decisions and supplier strategies
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives that enhance transportation performance, reduce costs, improve visibility, and strengthen supplier accountability
  • Support network optimization, freight management, and logistics efficiency initiatives across the enterprise

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Collaborate with Operations, Transportation, Supply Chain, Procurement, Finance, Quality, and Business Leaders across the organization
  • Translate business requirements into sourcing strategies and supplier solutions
  • Serve as a trusted advisor on transportation, logistics, and supplier management best practices

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Procurement, Business Administration, Operations, Finance, or a related discipline.
  • 5+ years of experience in logistics sourcing, transportation sourcing, procurement, category management, supply chain management, logistics operations, or related business functions.
  • 3+ years of experience leading competitive sourcing events, RFQs, RFPs, supplier negotiations, contract negotiations, or category management initiatives.
  • 2+ years of experience utilizing procurement platforms, e-sourcing tools, ERP systems, and supplier management technologies such as SAP, Ariba, Coupa, Oracle, or equivalent.
  • 2+ years of experience partnering with cross-functional stakeholders and managing multiple sourcing projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience sourcing logistics, transportation, freight, parcel, courier, warehousing, distribution, cold chain, or other supply chain services.
  • 3+ years of experience managing transportation carriers, freight providers, courier networks, freight forwarders, logistics providers, or third-party logistics (3PL/4PL) partners.
  • 3+ years of experience supporting transportation optimization, freight management, logistics network operations, carrier strategy, or logistics cost reduction initiatives.
  • 2+ years of experience sourcing or managing parcel, courier, LTL, FTL, air freight, ocean freight, expedited transportation, cold chain logistics, or regulated transportation services.
  • 3+ years of experience supporting healthcare, diagnostics, life sciences, pharmaceutical, biotechnology, medical device, clinical research, or other regulated industries.
  • 5+ years of experience working within a matrixed, multinational, or global organization supporting multiple business units and stakeholders.
  • 2+ years of experience applying transportation compliance, supplier governance, supply chain risk management, business continuity, or regulatory requirements within logistics operations.
  • Professional certifications such as CPSM, CSCP, CPIM, CIPS, APICS, Lean Six Sigma, or equivalent.
  • MBA or advanced degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Administration, Operations, or a related discipline.

  • Proven track record of building strategic supplier partnerships and influencing stakeholders across multiple functions
  • Ability to analyze complex transportation and logistics data to drive informed business decisions
  • Strong problem-solving capabilities and a continuous improvement mindset
